  1. Nah! Looks about right to me! LOL (Clint, you're an idiot!)
  2. A nice read. It's a pity we tend to get this kind of info about a player only when they get close to the end of their career. Was nice to hear about how the whole Vince clan has embedded themselves into the fabric of the Club. I was a little puzzled to read that, though, assuming they still lived somewhere in rural SA. Does anyone know if they have moved to Melb? Or, do they make the trek to Melb on a regular basis? As others have said, just hope Bernie sticks around the Club beyond this year in some capacity. (I'd also like to see the fairy tale of Bernie making it back for at least one Casey Final -- and preferably two, and playing well enough to demand a call up into the AFL Grand Final. How stoked would he be to lift the Cup aloft along side his old mate and mentor Goody?!)
  3. That old song of Casey's wasn't bad! (Not a patch on Grand Old Flag, mind you!)
  4. One of the true characters of the game! Very please he played 100 games for us. Really hope he sticks around in some capacity. Well done, and thanks, Bernie!
  5. Totally agree, LT!! The kid has taken it to a new level and is now setting up play doing the things that got him caught not that long ago. He's become a real beast! And, he takes out the oppo's best midfielder, while winning heaps of ball himself. (Did Kelly play yesterday?? LOL) A lifelong Dees supporter now living the dream and playing a big part in taking the team into the Finals. And, he wears my favourite #4, too! What a star!!
  6. This comment reminded me of the setup at the stoppage in the backline last Sunday that ended in the goal that put us back in front. Max tapped the ball down in Jonesy's direction, who was boundary side of the stoppage. In a circle and goal-side, pretty much on their own, were Salem, Tyson & Gus. The ball fell at Jonesy's foot. He controlled the ball with his foot, before scooping it up and dishing off a hand ball to (I think) Tyson, who hand-balled to Salem. While this was happening, Gus had sprinted forward, to take a contested mark of Salem's kick. Then, a kick down the line to Fritsch, another down the line in front of Hannan, who landed the ball into the arms of Melksham as he sprinted into an open goal. A true thing of beauty, the entire play -- from stoppage on the back flank to goal, and the lead! And, it all started with that perfect setup at the stoppage with our ring of players perfectly set up to receive and clear the ball. So, certainly hope to see it replicated on numerous occasions over the next few weeks!
  7. There's very few things that would bring me more pleasure, OD! LOL
  8. Ya grumpy old sod! Get with the party! (Freo are starting their Pie Night early this year!! LOL)
  9. What's the matter with you guys??!!!! Have Faith! We can ALWAYS believe that the enemy can be rolled! I can really salivate at the prospect of Ross getting his boys up for one final, end of season, burst, blowing away that black & white mob in front of that rabid Perth crowd! How sweet would that be??!! GO DEES!!!
  10. Wow! If this topic keeps going on the present path, it could lead to punches being thrown and, perish the thought, blood being spilt. Then, one or both would have to be sent off with the blood rule...! (LOL)
  11. Absolutely! Couldn't agree more! Very sensible comment, Layzie! Just use a little common sense! (Oops! It's the AFL! Scrap that! LOL)
  12. Good question! It's a time-wasting nonsense! Without it, we probably woulda had big Max standing in our backline to stop Tuoy from marking on the siren in the Geelong game a few weeks back!! Cost us the game!
  13. Wouldn't that truly be a thing of beauty? Leapfrog over the enemy...!! We can dream!
  14. BOBBY, BOBBY, BOBBY!!!! You have truly lost the plot!! There is NEVER any excuse for barracking for that mob. EVER!!! You are a complete and utter disgrace! Go to the Naughty Corner, and hang your head in shame! There is no forgiveness for a crime this heinous!! (There MAY be selfish reasons why you would want the team they are playing to lose. That's one thing. I can accept that. But, to actually BARRACK for the enemy?? Totally unacceptable!!) Have I made myself completely clear??!!
  15. I loved the bit about his 3 yr old son. Was in Auskick, and kicked about five goals. Nev asked him to handball to him. The young lad replied "It's AusKICK, Dad, not Aus-handball...!!". And, as others have said, Nev's clearly a truly quality human being. All credit to the young man! Very proud he's a Dee...!
  16. Yep. Ever since someone broke the LEVER, we haven't been able to get out of 1st gear!
  17. Out of the mouth of babes... My daughter just sent me a message, telling me of an encounter she had this morning with her 3 yr old daughter, Emmie (my Grand-daughter). Apparently, in general conversation, my daughter said "I'm happy 'bout that". To which 3 yr old Emmie promptly replied "But, we're not happy 'bout the football...!!"
  18. It would appear Casey will have a distinct advantage in this game, given Sandy seem to be planning on having only 17 players on the field (given they have named no-one in one of the back pockets...! LOL)
  19. Before Sunday? Well, given some other bright spark commented that the Milkshake will be available for Sydney this weekend, I don't see why not...
  20. I guess that kinda prepared you for being picked on here at DL, eh?! LOL
  21. You're kidding!!! (I'd prefer he play for us!! LOL)
