But Kalani is exciting and could have plenty of growing left as well 🤔
Assuming he doesn't end up at Gold Coast

Am I imagining things or have teams been winning a lot on the road this year?

Super Rugby is a terrible competition. They play in half empty stadiums and sometimes just a few thousand, even in New Zealand and I don't think it can be fixed. Rugby is all about national representation, after that people don't care that much about it.

This is a good thing. Nothing clears congestion like a free kick.

I too have some doubt that he'll end up at the Dees
Yeah me too. Gold Coast are going to be winning multiple premierships and we are nearing the end of the window. If I was in his position, I'd be choosing Gold Coast.

he's a year away
I don't understand. Would that stop him from nominating Gold Coast?
-
If he's a Queenslander, surely he'll want to stay home and so he'll probably nominate Gold Coast

Why not, just about every defender has been tried forward.

Don't drop Tommo.
He struggles against the better forwards.

I wouldn't read too much into this game. St Kilda's pressure and effort was non existent.

David King isn't a fan of the new game style:
Simon Goodwin’s side is trying a new ball movement model in a bid to score more efficiently out of its back half, but thinks it’s “just not them.” King called for a Demons ‘powwow’ to address their current method, questioning whether it was time to play more like their brand of recent years that’s made them so successful. “I wonder how long you can continue down this path before you revert back to what you’ve always done, which has worked for them so successfully. “OK, it’s failed by a point, a goal (in previous finals) ... but I feel like that is them. Something has to change, I think there will have to be a powwow at Melbourne: ‘Can we continue to play this way with these opportunities ball in hand?’,”

Why the hell is this even a thread.
Because when we lose some people get very angry and want to sack everyone

What concerns me is that we lost seven games last year and we've already lost four games and we're not even halfway.

Moniz, Jefferson, Sestan, Adams, Verral, Kynan Brown, get them in.
Ridiculous. Complete over-reaction.

2021 feels more and more like a lucky flag in an asterisk* year.
The 2021 cup is in the trophy cabinet and there's no asterisk next to it.

I can't see the wisdom in playing McAdam underdone and off a long plane flight.
You saying he can't sit for four hours?

The stand rule definitely makes the ball move better

Fair dinkum you blokes. The umpires do NOT have a set against the Dees. The umpires do NOT try to swing games in favour of the other teams. If they did, they would be out of a job. Full stop. They do occasionally make errors - split second decision, partially obscured view, all of that - but can we please stop this mindless bleating as though we are some sort of perfect team that never makes mistakes?
Finally, an intelligent comment about the umpires. The people who complain about umpires also make mistakes at work but then demand that the umpires be perfect.

I don't have an unhealthy attachment to football so I move on straight away.

Five day breaks are here to stay. Get over it.

I don't want to be negative but that game probably drained us a lot. The five day break really annoys me. Will it have an impact?
Five day breaks always have an impact especially after the Geelong game which was taxing. I expect us to be flat against Carlton.

What a load of rubbish. North will spend years on the bottom, they'll get a lot of high draft picks then they'll move up the ladder and then they'll play finals. We've seen this story many times before.
