The amount of factors that needed to go right for that handball to be executed like it was is very high indeed. The right forward and lateral trajectory to hit #5 at that pace; the right loft to clear the marking defender; the right head to see the play in the first place; the right connection between players to look for it and make the running play. Then of course #5 had to nail it - and the rest is history. It was an absolute peach of a handball.

Definitely reduced on standard HD now that 4K is in (and requires additional $$). The 4K native recording will be stepped down for standard usage (all in real time with a ~10s delay is pretty amazing to be fair) but is now worse than the native HD from previous years, based on our initial eyeballing. The question now is does one pay for the 4K. I wouldnt mind having a look at it in action first.

Great shout. However, neither of these things surprised anyone who was paying attention. Two smart players. Chandler creates 2nd options and has a 10m dash in the 99.99th percentile. Some days the scrum finds the first option so he'll chalk low stats. Other days he'll outrun anyone. TMAC played a rolling positional switch with may and lever with great effect. He made JUH look like he needs a few more kgs. A backline with depth hedges all the bets on May and Lever, and is a balm to my Bowey burn. TMAC handled the first exit delivery we are used to from bowey competently, which was his Achilles (or malleolus, if you will). A strategy to use the wings and switch hard suited the day after they asserted control. Seeing at least 3 chains involving TMAC>BBB made me happy and hopefully quiets down the peanut gallery. I won't be surprised if either or both are dropped. The absolute units calling for a total reveal of every play and having a settled best 23 in round 0 would benefit some shh.

I honestly feel like I live in a parallel universe in which I am watching a different player. He is a fanastic player (and person by all accounts). The stats bear this out. He has had some famous clangers, no doubt - but when you dispose the ball a lot, logic dictates that you'll do so poorly more frequently than others.

This is 5 mins from my place. You need to be early. One tip is to hit bottom of sydney road west side at 6:01pm when the clearway ends. Heaps of parks, and a 1-2 tram stops back down to IKON. Unless you have pre-game committments that's my hot tip. Parking over east side of IKON is a mix of permit, 2hr and full. Royal parade itself if you get lucky.
