I went down to watch KFW against St Bedes with his family. It might be Premier B but he played on 6’11 Angus Milham and broke even in the ruck. I thought he impacted the match at times in ways that demonstrated his agility and would serve him well at any level in the future. It’s true that he is learning positioning and needs strength but ultimately he is a 20 year old cat B. It makes him a fairly unique proposition. He’s gone back to the VAFA and shown that as and underdeveloped prospect learning the game that he’s already influential. Featuring in the best twice and I think he should have got in the best last week too with 2 goals and 20 disposals. As for his fitness, he’s wrestling a 6’11 guy in the ruck with the league hit out record and I believe notching 15k. In the third quarter he had a big knee to quad and waved off the trainer and ran through it. Still collecting 10 marks and 20 odd disposals. The footage will show that he had an impact.
