  1. He's tried nothing and he's all out of ideas!
  2. The demons' kicking is deplorable. The rest of the footy world sees it in our goal kicking and i50s, but those of us that watch every week know it affects everything we do. We cough up 1-2 goals a week by missing targets in the middle of the ground and deny ourselves so many scoring opportunities through sloppy disposal. Our leaders and best players are the worst offenders. The problem is that no one takes responsibility for this. The club and its coach say things like "we're not where we want to be, and we're working to get better". Well, that is the right thing to do when you're not where you want to be... ...but there's been no taking responsibility for how we got here in the first place. The buck stops with the coach on this one. Premiership or not, producing a team with this low of a skill level (after 8 years in charge) is a sackable offence no matter what the talent level of the list or position on the ladder.
  3. Perfect summary
  4. I just realised that we actually kicked more goals on the day they beat us by 186 points.
  5. The number of walk-in goals we've conceded against Freo in the last two years is embarrassing.
  6. There's possibly a civil case in there: https://classic.austlii.edu.au/au/journals/SportsLaweJl/2005/1.html#Footnote29
  7. I'm looking forward to the litigation.
  8. Considering that the only five-and-a-half-quarters where we looked like potential premiers in 2023 was when H. Petty was playing at full forward and kicking goals... ...no.
  9. Would West Coast be disincentivised to hand Reid to the Kangaroos (or Hawthorn) so as not to strengthen the clubs that are likely to be contending around the same time as them? If you're a developing club that's given the choice between trading with another developing club and one that's in the premiership window, I would have thought that trading with the stronger club is a strategically better option. Is this sort of consideration ever an input into trade decisions? Would obviously benefit Melbourne if that's the case here.
