Any source or just opinion?
source. But I will clarify, in our conversation it was more about what was not said, which says more! If that makes sense!!

Jack watts will play this week!!

hello all
just a quick shout out to see if anyone is interested in playing touch footy in the casey area. It will be in the "demons cup" which is held every monday night @ 6pm from February 8 for a 9 week duration up at casey fields. This will be for the casey demons supporter group (i received an email from them wanting to enter a team in the comp) we need a minimum of 8 players (2 female minimum)
if anyone is interested please email me [email protected] or [email protected] or you can call me on 0400 009 649.
hope to hear from some of you.
Justin.

Gawn could be 11, with one of the 1s above the other not side by side!!!
I can confirm Gawn will be no.37...

Sylvia to step up and really tear games apart. I'm tipping him to really explode in 2010
Tapscott will be the youngster to watch next year. He's ready for it, and he's got me massively excited.
Agree about Tapscott, he is my rising star winner for mine such is the impact I think he will have in 2010. Wonder what his odds will be ATM??
(No pressure )

I would love for us to get Taylor, but i am not overly sold on Patrick (even after watching his footage) so i wouldn't be totally devastated. Not that i am any expert just my opinion really
Although we do have a real need for a ruckman to come thru in next couple of years and we just have to trust BP and crew that they know what there doing.
Looking forward to tonight though and seeing what unfolds!!!

It's now getting messy.

I am very keen to hear what Ball has to say. Try and get a gauge on what his intentions may be once he has had a think about it.
Perhaps the lure of guiding and mentoring a young group into contention fo a flag in 4 to 5 years time (maybe even as captain?) may or may not be right for him.
Either that or he wants to chase instant success. I for one think if he puts a huge price on his head then pass on him.
I do personally hope he can see some upside to being at the dees and come out and say "i would love nothing more than to play for such a proud club on the way up"
That is exactly what the dees need!! Otherwise its another fail in trying to land a big fish!!

Why would Brisbane give us pick 12 when Bell Buckley & 34 have gone to Carlton?? Get yer Hand off it Laddy!!!
OBVIOUSLY we would get that pick to help them get the deal done with carlton by giving carlton the players that they need. like i said. can only hope
-
Here it is....the big deal...... Fev and blues 2nd round pick to Brisbane, Bradshaw and lions 3rd round pick to carlton, dees send Bell and Buckley and pick 34 to blues and lions give dees first round pick (12 i think)??
can only hope

Don't think so - I know where you're coming from, but I feel we have enough crumbing forwards. Valenti, Maric, Wonna, etc
Davey's a touch hot and cold (Similar to his brother actually )
its not so much the crumbing we could do with. with aaron moving to half back alwyn would be great for the forward pressure he would apply to oppositions ala aaron a couple of years ago. as good as wona and maric will hopefully be i don't think this would be there strong point.
2 daveys running down opposition players has got to be better than one

I am a little over this bloke. Can't he keep quiet until after the trade/draft period?
one word springs to mind .................. "muppet" ................... enough said

Wow. Ok, lets put this to bed.
If we finish on bottom with less than 5 wins we'll get picks 1, 2, 18, 35, and so on.
We only get a priority pick before the 1st round, not after it also.
we recieved a priority pick last year at the end of the first round for winning less than five??
Doing the same this year also...
So the rule applies for doing it over 2 years that we get a pick at the start also.
For mine 2 rules apply here and should be applied?? We are being rippd off!!!
-
this may have been discussed/raised/clarified already, but i am under the impression that if you win less than 5 games in one single year you get a priority pick at the end of the first round of the draft. And obviously if this happens over 2 years you get an extra pick at the start of the draft.
So for the dees this would mean we should get picks 1, 2, 17 & 18 this year because both of these scenarios apply to us this year???
Should this be the case or not?? Totally sux if it does not!!!

matthews by a street for mine
-
we have all kicked the winning goal in a grand final playing for the team you support in the backyard. How good would it be to just play for them on a weekly basis for real!!!!!!
-
I will be a certainty Lisa1958. I will be in touch!!

Just about Melbourne's best player tonight.
Fail.
spot on, but bruce, mcdonald, miller and throw in johnson (gets himself in good posistions tho) there disposal was embarrassing at best. it does my head in........

i quite often wonder if that is the only reason the dees are keeping Sylvia on the list as it is there only chance of getting something worthwhile for him
-
I've spent a little time at the cranbourne shopping centre, and if the folk there are anything to go by, well lets just say I wouldn't be volunteering for this
HILARIOUS!!!!!! One more reason why i don't think the dees coming to Casey will work.
-
hopefully the club will have something simple like a signed jumper to raffle off or something to that effect for a couple of dollars a ticket to raise some funds for the bushfire appeal. even a few tin rattlers walking around collecting a few coins. simple and it all helps. just heard 22million raised so far. incredible!! nothing will ever break the aussie spirit!!!!
-
has nothin to do with the dees although they will use it of course. it has been under construction for over 2 years and will be massive when completed. will even have 2 massive water slides that start inside, go outside and finish in the indoor pool. my kids do swimming lessons at the old cranbourne ymca and they will be moved to there as it is owned by the ymca. i for one am looking forward to it opening!!!

why would Wona make the HUGE jump from 39 to 33. i understand the significance of the number "brotherhood tradition". but i would think he would keep his number. anyone of Jetta, Jurrah or Bennell could take that number. It may well happen (has it been confirmed??) but it doesnt work for me or make sense?? only my opinion....
