I didn't explain myself super well, I meant peanuts compared to what he gets in the future if he explodes which we all hope he does.
I'd love to know what the good money is. I'm just not sure where we're getting all this cap space from. Trac, Gawn, Lever, May and Salem would be on decent cashola.
Brown would not have come across for bugger all and I'd imagine Viney re-signed for something decent as well.
Guessing Brayshaw and McDonalds contracts were front ended but still, I just don't see how we can load up on him now
Players will be offloaded at years end.

With all due respect, I donât think Amateur footy compares. Recovery activities , dehydration , cortisol etc will make it really difficult for a good night sleep.Â
ÂThatâs fine and I agree. But as I was originally asking you stated that we were coming off a 6 day break like it was a disadvantage?
If it was theoretically the same as a 5 day break (like the Hawks) as you have stipulated, what was the point of the original post?
No need to reply..as I said I wasnât looking to pick a fight. The conversation isnât going anywhere. Have a good night.

Iâll be honest mate yes. Iâve played night and day football and always found running at night a lot easier than during the day. But thatâs just meâŠ
Â
edit - Iâll also be honest and say I unlikely ran 15km in a game as a half back. I am no Ed Langdon.

We played the night before. From a recovery standpoint it is effectively the same as a 5 day.Â
No, not really. Our game finished 18 hours before them and they played in Tasmania.
They played the next day, had less of a break than us but you said we had a six day break like it was a disadvantage? I donât understand.Iâm not trying to pick a fight, Iâm just trying to understand what you mean?

A wakeup call without losing is a good result, hawthorn showed everyone the blueprint on how to beat us, take it quick through the corridor and keep lever accountable.Â
Just shows how important Petty is to our backline. When Petty plays Lever doesnât need to be accountable.

No love for Langdon??? I thought he was second best on ground tonight after Oliver. Brayshaw couldn't speak  more highly enough of Ed on radio after the game and said that Langdon is one of the most crucial players in the team which we all know, but still nice to hear.Â
Credit to our backline... May, Smith and a few others got heavy hits early and still played out the game. There will definitely be some sore guys for the next few days. May played the entire game on one leg with a bad corkie. What a trooper!Â
Thereâs plenty of love for Langdon on here and he is crucial for usâŠhe just didnât have a great first half. I thought he was sloppy, like a lot of our players, but heâs he made up for it with an outstanding second half.
Saw the marking contest where May copped the corkie and the bloke is a superstar. Thought Brown looked a bit proppy also and continued to come on and off the ground. Thought Browns influence in the first half was very importantâŠcontinued to make contests and bring the ball to ground despite awful delivery.

I will say this in relation to last nights game, coming in from Eltham on the Hurstbridge train line.
As buses were replacing trains between Hurstbridge and Clifton Hill, I observed quite a number of Melbourne fans choosing to walk away when they discovered trains werenât running.
What is normally a 40 minute train ride to Jolimont became an hour and a half bus ride with a driver who had no idea where he was going to stop at every train station, all while empty stubbies rolled around mine and my kids feet.
While I understand line works need to happen, it wasnât a great start to our evening, especially when I rarely go with the kids and how excited they were.
Anyway, we went, we had a great win and the family enjoyed themselves. Now time to rip into some hot cross buns.

I got tickets on Level 4 last night with no issue.
On a side note, pre-COVID it was possible for my kids to scan their MFC memberships to get into the MCC for Dees games.Â
Now we need to book tix via Ticketek, it doesnât accept their barcodes, so I need to buy them a visitor ticket, which is a bit annoying. Anyone else notice this?Â
As a 23 year MCC member the whole MCC/Ticketek booking system annoys me. I used to be able to push the oldies aside with ease to get to the seat I wanted like a Myer stocktake sale. Those glory days are gone.

Interesting story about Jake.
Heading into the tail end of the season last year, the coaches identified that although we were still winning, we werenât kicking enough goals.
They believed we needed another playmaker off half back to assist Salem, because the ball wasnât being delivered into our forward line quick enough to benefit Ben Brown and give him the best opportunity to be one out.
Although Jake wasnât our best performing Casey player at the time, he was identified as the player to assist us with that given his disposal, footy smarts and ability to win a one one contest. Immediately we started kicking higher scores.
The rest is historyâŠ

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
in Melbourne Demons
From what Iâve heard he will sign and thereâs a little bit of âI like the speculationâ about the hold offâŠ
