    Like sylvia, rivers, mclean, whelan and bruce and davey and all those guys who got injured and have never recaptured their pre-injury form for more than about 10 seconds. WE;re not even talking about 426!

    Yep, us supporters sure are dumb.

    Sylvia and McLean have to be given the benefit of the doubt at this stage, I feel you have written them off a bit early don't you?

    If you believe the remaining players are all gone then start a thread justifying their trade or delisting. They might not be what they were but age will do that to you.

    What about a list of players that have made it back? Or does that not suit the arguement here? Or take too long to write.

    I didn't call anyone dumb Tim. I am just suggesting that great clubs don't rise without the support of "supporters".

    Off to the Tigers it would seem:

    RICHMOND is set to announce the first trade of trade week, sending its third-round draft pick to Port Adelaide in exchange for Adam Thomson.

    Richmond's general manager of football, Craig Cameron, said the deal was almost done, with pick 42 likely to be the price.

    Bailey must not rate him too high as it would have been easy for us to trump this offer with pick 35. maybe we're holding out for Prismall..?

    Here you go Tingles. From melbournefc.com.au. Again not something to get too excited about, but info kind of contradicting what we read this morning.

    "Hopefully, we'll hear tonight [Tuesday] on Brad Green and Brent Prismall."

    And Connolly said Melbourne was still right in the hunt for Fremantle ruckman Robbie Warnock and Geelong midfielder Prismall.

    He confirmed that a number of clubs were chasing the emerging Cat.

    The above quote to me suggests that offers from clubs have been rolling in for him to consider. Perhaps the Bombers were first and ours went in late arvo yesterday. Lets ride it out and see.

    I have a great feeling about Prismall. I don't give a [censored] what anyone says about him, he just looks as though he belongs with us.

    ESSENDON has emerged as the front-runner to secure the services of out-of-contract Geelong midfielder Brent Prismall.

    It is understood the Bombers are the preferred destination of the midfielder, who has asked to be traded after struggling to be a regular senior player in the Cats' side.

    Wants to go there. What is it with all these money hungry little s hits who want all the best clubs. What a load of crap every club struggles at some point, who can forget Geelong three years ago. I am sick of Melbourne tryiung to trade with players who seem interested and then go cold because another club comes along.

    I'm getting pretty sick of people abusing players based on what they read in the paper. Tingles, take it with a grain of salt mate. At least until he or his manager comes out and states something as fact.

    All these people telling Brad Green where to go are going to have to swallow their pride when he is still in the Red & the Blue at the end of the week.

    Demons football manager Chris Connolly said Green met with coach Dean Bailey yesterday and the club believed he was close to agreeing to terms.

    Hawthorn and Sydney inquired about Green today, but were told there was little chance of him leaving.

    Mc Intosh and Warnock would cost about Pick 19 each I would think, I'm not saying that is what they're worth, rather what they will cost. Mc Intosh I'd probably prefer.

    Considering the possible compensation we would receive for CJ I don't want him traded. He has shown plenty this year and a possible second or early third rounder would be a risk given that we have a developing running ball winner in the hand.

    So long as Prismall doesn't cost to much I'd love to see him in red & blue. Sure there is a risk, but I think he's worth it, if we have to trade he wont cost much (Pick 51?) and of course there is the possibility we'll get him in the PSD.

    Jamar, trade interest, who would have thought? See what's on offer I suppose. All of his hard work throughout the year was somewhat soured in my mind by the shot from goal, five metres out against the Bombers for me.

    Connolly: "Brad hasn't re-signed, so he's an obvious one to be asked about and Hawthorn and Sydney asked about him and we see him as a very important leader around the club"

    "Chris is in a position where we're just waiting for some balls to fall with some contractual arrangements and whether he re-signs with the club, and Mark's a contracted player."

    Versatile Demon Brad Green has also attracted the interest of Port Adelaide, but Rohde said plenty would have to happen for him to switch from Melbourne.

    "We've had some mild interest in Brad Green, but it hasn't really got that far," he said.

    "The salary he's after is probably not in our ball park and he's at the club that's finished 16th, so leverage wise it's a bit hard to get a deal."

    Rohde said young Power midfielder Adam Thomson was likely to land at another AFL club by the end of the week.

    "[There] hasn't been too much [interest], but we think by the end of the week, he might end up at a home somewhere else," he said.

    Connolly said Melbourne would consider giving Fremantle pick 17 or 19 for Warnock – a deal that would unite him with older brother Matthew.

    Well you seem to be on a get rid of Green tear, based on a rumour (we really don't know, nor should we what is really going on) you seem to want to believe.

    So frankly your opinon has become fairly negligable, no matter how often its stated and repeated, again and again and.......

    The 2.82 time put Watts in the top 1 per cent of the 1500 players tested in the history of AFL draft camps.

    He was the quickest non-indigenous player tested in 15 years until Ashley Smith came along a short time later and clocked 2.80.

    Watts is a 195cm forward. Smith is a more standard sprinter's size at 185cm.

    Not content with smashing convention in the 20m, Watts finished second in the agility test, usually the domain of nippy midfielders.

    No player of Watts' height has been as quick or agile in the history of testing.

    "Way above anything that has been seen," AFL talent manager Kevin Sheehan said yesterday.

    Enough said really. Watts No. 1.

    FFS, we'll end up with a player more likely to win the Nobel Peace Prize than the NAB Rising Star.

    The reason for Judd not wanting to go to Hawthorn was because of their players' tarnished off-field reputation. Hawthorn's full of ratbags, but I'm sure their supporters couldn't care less.

    Nice guys come last. I don't want great people or role models, I want players with mongrel who'll do everything within their powers to win, excluding taking drugs of course.

    Ratbags? We've got one Mo his name is Nathan Carroll. he might not win a Nobel Peace Prize but according to you he'll win us a premership.

    Bailey said Melbourne is simply after the best available player with its first selection, and noted how important it was that the chosen player would "represent the guernsey, the club and the history".

    "The earlier that we can get them to feel that it's their club and they own the club and their responsibilities to produce and become great people as well as great players – we're going to get a great player," Bailey said.

    Further evidence in my opinion that within the last twelve months there has indeed been a change in culture at the MFC.

    Bailey continues to impress.
