6 spots left? 4 for the draft, 1 on a delisted free agent, 1 for T Smith and Keilty to stay a rookie.
-
Unfortunately this team is not ready for a GF. Really need to target a classy ball user to play on the wing in the offseason.

J Smith and Peds is my tip

If there is one injury we couldn't afford, it's to a tall defender considering it's the only position we don't have any in-form cover for at the moment which is a shame. If Reid doesn't come up I'd just select Wagner considering their small forward line. If he does come up, it's anyone's guess, I'm leaning towards Keilty considering Frost has had numerous chances. Not confident.

I have a feeling this will be another deeeeeeeestroyation! Dees by 53 points.

No changes unless Tmac needs to rest his foot. If so, Pederson IN.
-
He has been great with shrewd selections in all parts of the drafts. A genius compared to Predergast.

Well done Neita!
Great all round player and by all reports an even better bloke!

If he keeps up this form, takes another pay cut and players like Stretch, JKH, Balic, Maynard and Wagner don't step up then yes you would have to offer him another year. I hope the MFC is mature enough not to fall into the "he's too old trap". I still have nightmares over the James McDonald decision.

It might be a good idea to trial him as a small forward pocket player. He is fast, can take a mark, can kick a goal and if he applies himself could be a good pressure act player. I can't him ever being an accurate user of the footy which is what you need to play off half back or on the wing delivering it into the forward 50.

I never said but they are playing completely different roles.
We have enough half forward/mid types. It's okay.

So he has been poor, then plays well and you want to drop him.
makes sense
So you want to keep our co-captain at Casey. Makes sense.

Even though he was serviceable last night I think a lot of people are forgetting how poor ANB has been this year.
In: Viney
Out: ANB

In: Petracca
Out: ANB
I have a feeling Weideman might be the unlucky one though considering St Kilda are small and nippy meaning it will be harder to carry a taller player.
-
I still can't comprehend how ANB keeps his spot

That was done weeks ago.
The article was dated yesterday...?

For all those thinking Wagner will be left out this week:

It's going to be painful to watch if ANB plays a 6th consecutive poor game in a row. I really don't see the reasoning behind picking a player who's only strength is his running capacity at this moment...I would have thought an ability to dispose of the footy would be a higher priority. Times are a changing...

There is a bloke called Tom McDonald maybe you've heard of him?
If he is fit, great, bring him in...didn't know he was right to go. So I'm assuming we are dumping the idea of him being a forward this year?
-
Petty got 5 touches in the VFL gonna play him off that form are you? I can't believe no one has Pedersen in the side we need a 3rd tall.
Balic has only played 1 good game of VFL football.
I don't think we have a choice. We need an extra tall for Essendon in the backline and Frost has had a chance and failed. Pederson is not a backman. Do you really think ANB, Stretch or Harmes will play any better than Balic? Give him a go.

In: Petty, Balic, Lewis, Fritsch
Out: ANB, Stretch, Kent, Harmes
B - Jetta, O Mac, Lever
HB - Hibberd, Petty, Hunt
C - Jones, Oliver, Brayshaw
HF - Petracca, Hogan, Fritsch
F - Garlett, Weideman, Melksham
R - Gawn, Salem, Tyson
I - Lewis, Balic, Wagner, Vince
Notes: We lose a bit of speed but clean ball use is more important and if you move the ball well it means you are less reliant on running as the ball does the running for you. Essendon are also tall.
ANB are Stretch were a class below last night. Harmes hasn't had a good game all year so others need a chance to perform.
