Useless as a goal kicker!!

Can't wait for the post match press conference!
Win or lose how many cliches (footy speak) will we get to appease the AFL and MFC and try and talk it up?
AFL footy is so sanitised.

Makes me sick to watch this.
Pathetic.
9 scoring shots to 8.
When will the forward coaches teach goalkicking??

This guy cant coach I am now convinced of it
Agree. Poor structure and game plan and they are not playing for him!!

He has been named in the squad for Sunday.
If he plays he will be the first 4th generation of a family with the same surname to play VFL/AFL football.
His great grandfather played for the Demons.

I’ll not bother watching another live game until we win one and then I might bother with a replay.
A heavy loss to the Bombers would be devastating for the Club, players, sponsors and us supporters.
And I’d like to send a big FU to the media who made us out to be the next big thing all off season.
Put the cue in the rack until 2019.

What in the hell did the FD and the team do for 6 months in the off-season??

Goal kicking accuracy. Fix that as a key critical priority. Changes the outcome of losses. And confidence during the game.
if only we had a Watts
Exactly.
His faults have been well documented but probably a better user of the ball than anyone on our list.

lol do you really think clubs would trade for Salem and Tyson? they're not stupid
Well why are they on our list??

Do we have the required fitness to play 4 quarters of AFL football??
Don't see it.

Players embarrassed the club in the last round last year.
Players embarrassed the club in the pre-season.
There were a few different ways they could respond to those incidents and we have seen the all too familiar response. Forget about the coach. Nobody has been able to get the required level of effort from our playing group on a consistent basis over the last 30 years. There is something rotten about what is expected of these guys by the wider club. There is just no pride.
You nailed it.
I don't have time or the patience for another rebuild.

When the players put the ‘cue in the rack’ you know it’s troublesome. Problems aplenty. We’ll struggle to make 10th
And to think the players almost had me conned when they said "they were hurting" after the Round 23 loss last year!

Goodwin said in his post match press conference that "Hawthorn were structurally set up better".
Isn't that part of the coaches role?
Staggering!!

Quit the “New Age” Powerpoint Presentation Deeluded
this is not a Daylesford Yoga Class we are talking about, it’s the oldest Football Club in the ? world, and it’s time the players put some balls on the line for the club and the Members.
Supporters get [censored] off with insipid useless performances dished up by the Football Department on a semi reguliar basis, and why the hell not. That wasn’t even VFL Standard today.
But you will tell me it is the fault of the Northern Stand no doubt.
Yes we 10, 20, 30 year members are all to blame, because the players feel the bad vibes coming at them.
Let me tell you something.
UNTIL WE GET THE BEST CAPTAIN IN THE GAME TO OUR CLUB, and i mean fierce competitor, this club will go nowhere, as it has for the last 54 years.
Did you clap the boys off today and cuddle them Deeluded??
Agree 100%.
It is that attitude that typifies this football club. That is why have have the longest premiership drought out of the traditional clubs. Culture is our biggest problem and it doesn't just sit with the players. Acceptance of mediocrity has gone on for far too long.

If Goodwin had any murmuring doubts about his own coaching ability post the Rnd 23 Collingwood game then they would be positively yelling at him now. Two appalling losses in the past 5 games. Two much talent on this list for him not to make finals
Could not agree more!!

He has no depth in his kicking and should not be in the team
He misses too may getable shots as well.
He is a small forward expected to kick goals. If he can't kick get rid of him.

Simple.
Reduce the teams to 16 and take out the wingmen. There are no specialist wingmen anymore anyway. Keep 22 because the AFLPA would not agree to reducing the number per team. Therefore 6 on the bench at any time. This would take 4 players off the ground and reduce congestion.
