  1. Oscar McDonald had the 4th hardest defensive matchups of the 57 key defenders to qualify. His defensive rating was the = 7th best of that group. Sam Frost's rating ranked 50th. Don't be too quick in writing off Oscar. #2020AFLProspectus @championdata
  2. It's time to play him. It's school holidays and we should give him some experience, especially against a side like Richmond.
  3. Two words - Gold Coast.
  4. You can't keep blaming the coach for everything. Look at Richmond, same problem. It's a developing list. I don't care if we get beaten by 20 goals every single week, as long as the players are developing. I think the reasons given above in response to your post are spot on. Even when Melbourne was top of the ladder a few years ago we lost by 80 points at AAMI - we simply hate playing there. We played a good three quarters against North and the first half against Collingwood was exceptional. Remember that 18 months ago, Collingwood were 1 goal away from beating Geelong and would have played and probably beaten Port Adelaide in the Grand Final. Remember, too, that after Round 21 last year, North Melbourne were fourth on the ladder. Let's judge Bailey at the end of 2010. I, personally, think he is a great coach. Remember that nearly everyone was calling for Mark Thompson's resignation after being at Geelong for 7 years and them not making the finals in that time. Now they say he is the best coach ever and has won a premiership and he lost 2 games for the entire year last year. Same goes for Clarkson. Even diehard Hawthorn supporters were calling for his blood 2 years ago and now look. Don't blame the coach, we had 13 players that had played 20 games or less - they will improve.
  5. He had a knee injury, big deal. People have knee injuries all the time. I would say it's stuffed forever.

  7. I just admit that I like Jamar, I think he has a lot of potential. He's only problem is he's kicking. He's heart is in the right spot.
  8. Just imagine this: F: Robertson, Neitz, Williams HF: Davey, Newton, Yze Williams would be a massive addition to our side. He is in the Russell Robertson mould and kicked 63 goals in 2005. Sure, he had a knee injury this year but if anything that makes him cheaper to get. What if we got pick 14 or 8 for Johnston and on-traded to Hawthorn for Mark Williams??
  9. Melbourne appears to be almost certain of getting John Meesen. If that's the case, we have White, Jamar, Johnson and Meesen. The question is this: where do you see things going? Obviously White will retire soon, but I doubt whether Melbourne will be able to hold 3-4 ruckmen on their list so they will either delist one, or one will leave. What are your takes? Spewing we let Jolly go.
  10. Opps. I grabbed another persons ladder and reorganised it. I've edited my post to include the roos.
  11. Johnstone for pick number 14?? Are you serious?? Ok, so he wasn't consistent, but he was still a #1 draft pick and has amazing skills. I would have been happy with pick 8, which Brisbane has. http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,,22566...from=public_rss http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,,22565...from=public_rss
  12. You have got to be kidding. Johnston isn't consistent, sure, but he's worth more than pick 14 ?? Remember that he was a #1 draft pick and has exceptional skills. http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,,22566...from=public_rss
  13. Geelong Hawthorn Port Adelaide Collingwood Brisbane West Coast Melbourne St.Kilda ---------------------------------------- Kangaroos Sydney Western Bulldogs Fremantle Adelaide Tigers Carlton Bombers
  14. I think you will find that Footscray joined the league in 1925, as did Hawthorn and North Melbourne. Richmond joined in 1908. The rest of the Melbourne clubs were around since inception. (University came and went).
  15. Why / why not? That's a pretty useless reply. Signature is a bit out too.. Ratten has signed
