  1. That is the way I will watch as well Deb..... I don't normally watch it, as it is not on till midnight up here and I usually forget (plus I ignore the NRL version with all I have). But I will put the IQ to work and enjoy whatever Jack has to say tomorrow!!!
  2. I'm in the Northern Suburbs and as for the inner west, went to school there, and would love to live in Balmain if I had the money.... Horrible, horrible place!!!
  3. You're right, my mistake but my point still stands.... Not all of Sydney is automatically evil, just because it isn't Melbourne.
  4. Breakfast Point Thus my link to here (Breakfast Point), the GWS presser was held here and I believe housing of some kind will be provided within the development...... And while it is in the inner west it is not next door to the stadium they will be plsying at.
  5. Annoying of course, but completely deserved, he has been awesome.....unfortunately !!!
  6. Ignorance is blss I guess and if you are that way inclined you're more likely to be able to be unfalteringly critical..... You mentioned that you work in Gordon, the North Shore is a lovely and generally older part of the city, and I live not too far from there. A little further west but probably not too far to be shot by some in here like a rabid traitor.
  7. I'm just impressed that actually made it into the Telegraph..... GWS hasn't really had much media publicity up here apart from the fibbing about their membership numbers!!!
  8. Congrats to you, but for a hell of a lot of us the complete opposite is also true...... I love to visit Melbourne, but am a Sydney girl through and through and can never understand the point of beating up on an entire city like it is all the same thing. You may not like it up here, but there are those of us that love it, and wouldn't want to live anywhere else, so quit with the self righteous bagging. Also even in the west there are some genuinely great places to live. Big beautiful places out on the Nepean etc, but what most here don't understand is the sheer geography of the place. GWS is based at Bankstown (not the greatest but also not the worst and certainly not some slum) but it is roughly in the middle of the greater Sydney region.
  9. Yep slumsville..... Breakfast Point
  10. And a little funny for the day..... AFL set to introduce conscription to aid GWS recruitment
  11. Same thing happens on commercial television..... They play the advertisements at a higher volume to the show itself thus they are much louder and have more impact. And when you turn them down, you have to turn it up again for the program, which is soft by comparison. Ok this isn't just for betting ads (although there are enough of them), but the annoyance factor still holds!!!
  12. This is the same reasoning being given by those that think Fevola won't be taken by GWS.....
  13. This does sum up the situation perfectly......
  14. But it isn't as simple as his merit as a footballer.....
  15. You mean this..... NRL announces new betting measures
  16. Unfortunately Choko, you cannot stop conclusion leaping..... It is an affliction in here (not unsurprisingly) but hopefully you're right.
  17. AFL confirms betting allegations
  18. So true......
  19. Humphrey may have a few issues getting his point across..... !!!
  20. That sounds pretty accurate..... And if that helps us get Brad Green circa 2010 back on the field again, then fine by me.
  21. Of course people care about the decision, but after months of the utter crap being thrown around there is a level of self-preservation involved..... Personally I think Scully will be a great player, but right now he is very far from that guy, and has been inflicted with what could well be a long term injury and yet what we hear is that the club is offering massive amounts to this player who right now is not worth that amount. This causes concern. Hopefully Tom will stay, but what we may or may not get if he leaves is also very important. And I can understand people wanting to see what the club will receive given we keep hearing he is off to greener pastures, because it should always be the club that matters to us most in all of this.
  22. I've said it before and I'll say it again..... Last years version was far superior, and I want (we need) that one back. So if that means removing the captaincy, then so be it, because he is important, he's just not a leader.
  23. The White Maggot strikes again...... Lyon unable to conceal laughter when confirming Knights to be considered for Dees coaching role An artists impression of Don McLardy's face during the press conference
  24. He is one of the most frustrating we have, and we will continue to hope that this game becomes the norm..... But Rhino is correct he is not a leader, but that doesn't make his contributions (when they occur) any less valuable.
