If someone could logically explain to me why he played round 2 after his round 1 showing that'd be great. If they could go further and explain why he was then made sub before being dropped for GWS I'd be eternally grateful. He's been poorly handled this year IMHO but the kid will be good - we just need to develop experienced leaders (or get one in) that he can learn the craft form.

Some strange symmetry, of sorts, for Craig, too. His first game in charge was as an interim coach against Melbourne. His last game as coach was a drubbing against St Kilda. His first game as interim coach was against St Kilda.* * This is all off memory so if it's wrong I apologize. All that's left for him now is to be stood down as interim coach after the Adelaide game.

If there is only one more game you get to this year, or if family/friends are in that boat, it simply has to be next Saturday night. Make no mistake, our boys were up for the fight yesterday and took it right up to a more competent (if not great) side. The Dogs aren't much chop and if we can tackle/pressure and use the footy a little better we're in for a massive shot. We simply have to get a good home crowd in to show our boys that the club is moving forward to a new era. You can hate the board/previous board/previous coach whatever - but we need to make sure we're there for our players. Get your mates around this game - the Dees are in with a chance! It's pretty subjective - but I disagree.

Frawley. Has endured a tough career at the MFC during its darkest days and has always put in for the club.

Of all the things that MFC can be criticized for, fans that are still going to games are not one of them. Melbourne fans, per head, make as much noise if not more than other teams. It's been shown numerous times over this terrible period. An inept start is hardly going to gee up the vocal chords of supporters. Not to mention that there'd barely have been 10,000 Dees fans in attendance yesterday. We make noise, there just aren't that many of us.

Sticking tackles will be crucial today. Watching Port v Sydney reminds me that intense pressure and good tackling can bridge a gap between two teams very quickly.

I already loved Flanagan. Then he quoted Matthew Whelan. Now..it is greater than love.

I trust he missed with a foot injury...

Demonland's waiting, WYL...

It didn't take long, did it?

Demonland is proud to announce the signing of a future star of the MFC - Jasmine Garner! The 18 year old, who plays for the St Kilda Sharks, will make history as she dons the famous Red and Blue on the 29th of June to do battle in the inaugural Dees women's team.
