Agree with pretty much all of that T_U. Rubbish award. We always seem to struggle against subcontinent spinners. You can really see how the batsmen bat differently when they come on, seem much more tentative and almost afraid of getting out - especially on their home soil.

    How about 5-0?

You can also do worse than muting the tv. Took them until 4 balls to go to realise a tie would be enough, then spent 5 minutes going on about how Lee and Hauritz mustn't have known that we'd already qualified because they scampered for a run - a. why wouldn't you scamper to try and get the win, b. a win would leave us top with a game against the recent bunnies. Tense is right though

Aussies have lost 4 for 20! Needing 30 off 49 with 3 wickets left.

Fair enough, each to their own. I just don't like playing Keane and Defoe as our forwards with no tall target - it may work against Burnley but I don't think it works against the top ranked teams.

Don't really think you can judge one way or another off one game (would you really say Wigan is better than Chelsea?) But 3 goals came with Crouch on and his other goal came from a penalty that he didn't earn. TBH you haven't made an argument

Keano! haha. 3 with Crouch on.

    Wow, compelling, you got me...

And I'm sorry, but you cannot reasonably expect me to believe that playing Defoe and Keane is more flexible than playing Crouch and Defoe. A stat like Crouch hitting the bar off two Keane crosses is also largely irrelevant, Crouch could get his head on most crosses and this only further underlines why I think Crouch should be in instead of Keane - that crosses like that can be made! We're too small up front which means we attack the same way each time - that's pretty one dimensional. Furthermore, Keane should spend more time worrying about playing the game and less time falling over and whinging for fouls. Can't believe we made him captain straight after coming back.

Like many others in this thread, I thought long and hard before posting anything (and a few deleted attempts) but just couldn't think of anything profound or even helpful. My thoughts and best wishes are right behind you, as I'm sure they are from everybody else on thie site and who knows you. Times like this can get the best out of people, and you seem like a very brave, strong person.

On the balance of play it was at least even in the first half and at 1 nil if that penalty was paid then who knows. But credit where it's due, from there we stopped and chelsea were too good

I don't understand why we play the whinger over crouch. That should have been a penalty, but no wonder it wasn't.

    Can't believe there hasn't been a goal.

Michael Owen. Wow, what a match

Quite sure Neill is a prat. Whilst on him, it seems he's destined to join fellow Australian Tim Cahill at Everton to fill in the void left by Lescott. Rumours about a big signing for Victory also...

After you crapping on about how funny it was that Ferguson threw a shoe... more than a little amusing to see you backtrack now

On fire! Spurs score through Crouch's head. Another on the way?
  21. 45HG replied to 45HG's post in a topic in Other Sports
Spurs are peppering the goal, thanks mainly to Crouch's head.

Bolton have gone ahead against the Reds twice, but have no had Davis sent off. Will do well to hold on from here. Liverpool not looking anything like the side they were last year. Bullet from Gerrard into the crossbar.

Was going to say, they haven't "achieved" much in the last 4 years!

    Quiet achievers?
