Goody said about eleventeen times in his post match presser that he was really proud of what we did when we didn't have the ball. Maybe Tom's game exemplified this (?) whilst not reflected in the stats sheet.

We are really looking forward to seeing the boys run out tomorrow night, we’ve got the whole team(9) coming tomorrow night. It is a wonderful and moving occasion.
Agreed, it is a wonderful and moving occasion. So much so my wife is coming along as well, she's on the record as saying she's happy to come just to watch the pre-match ceremony and then go home (but she'll grudgingly stay for the game).

If you move the ball quickly enough, it may well work to structure your forwardline like so:
Spargo Fritta Chandler
Kozzy Petty Trac
Campbell resting forward or on the bench. So there's enough forward pressure with Spargo, Kozzy, Trac and Chandler. It puts the onus on our mids and half backs to ensure they don't long bomb. I'd also try and isolate Petty, Kozzy and Trac one out as often as possible.
This is exactly how Richmond were in 2017 (and they won the flag) - the one tall in the forward line option with Riewoldt (who isn't that tall), but needed a team playing quick footy and applying forward pressure as you suggest.

Kelli Underwood is poison to my ears 🤬
She’s better than she used to be - in the past, she’d try to create a newspaper headline after every goal which became really cringy. She’s pared that back thankfully.
I did find it amusing that she called two possessions for Disco Turner in the third after he’d been subbed off for concussion.

I just don’t see the whole team being shuffled round after our first win to make way for Mcvee who probably needs more time anyway
They took McVee off at 3QT, so judging him by his stats might be a bit skewed.

Re: Shai Bolton flying for a speccy and hitting Disco Turner flush in the back of his head with his knee (I’d contend a missile)
Whilst many accept he shouldn’t get time off for this, and protecting the speccy is high on the AFL agenda, doesn’t Bolton have a duty of care as a player who can elevate himself to head height without having to ride up the opponents back?
I’m of the view the AFL are heavily blinkered when it comes to concussion and it [censored] me that they bandy around duty of care at the tribunal when it suits them.

I'd like Longmire because (1) he's always making the finals and semi-regularly grannies, and (2) to date he plays half a year on a ground the size of a postage stamp and only gets 1-2 games on the G a year. Give him a home ground of the G which he'll then learn to play better, and I reckon he'd then have a better strike rate in grannies.

The owner got there in time to put his lead back on and walk him away. The funny thing is the dog had a tennis ball in his mouth. I turned to the Demonlander next to me and said imagine the apocalyptic melts on DL if a tennis ball was on the field. 🙃
Maybe the boys could learn some evasive skills from the dog.

I don't believe we will be making any coaching change until we have a CEO and Brad Green has passed the reigns over to the new President who would co-own this. So at least until the end of the year?
If the executive team believe a change is now becoming timely in a couple of months due to ongoing poor performances, any delay based on the above and I fear we'll potentially both miss the boat with the pick of available premium coaches as well as lose significant footballing talent if we're not on the front foot with planning, recruitment, messaging and execution.

I saw a lot more positive signs than I remembered from watching it live last weekend. I'm more confident that with the skills and run that our ins this week bring, we'll be competitive.
Go Dees!
Were you whipping yourself while you watched?
That said, I reckon I'd yell just as hard a second time at the goal at 3QT which was kicked about 5 mins after the siren. SMH.

11 hours ago, Harvey Wallbanger said: Absent: Lever, Jefferson, Hore, Woewodin
As the session ended Lever walked out from AAMI, chatted briefly to the phyio staff and walked back so, unless he is a test tomorrow, I would suggest he will not be playing tomorrow night.
Based on the split between the Casey group and the main group I would expect:
In: Spargo, Turner, Windsor, Pickett
Out: Billings, Howes, Johnson, Lindsay (inj).
Campbell did come out with the main group, but was doing some supervised drills and running, so I don't think he is the 23.
I did see a couple of soccer balls, but no organised soccer game this morning.
Nailed it Harvey. How much are we going to win by tomorrow, prognosticator of prognosticators?

That's definitely not me. I'm the guy critiquing the umpires

"That's not 15"
BALLLLLLLLLL!
"You've got to pay them both ways"
"FFS"
"There used to be one umpire who's doing a better job than these 4"
Kosssieeeeeee!
"They need to get rid of the insufficient intent rule, that call was b*[censored]"
"Kick a goal son! How good was that!"
