Koltyn went ok in the end, but had a slow start.. Liked that he got more creative in the second half. He tried hard. Reckon the new gameplan will suit him. Not sure that I can see this athleticism that King and a few others have spoken about?..
Langford, Langdon, Rivers, Lindsay and Sparrow need to lift. Still veryyyy early days, so not too bad, but Langford appeared to be jogging a lot and showed very little urgency in attack or defence.
Not sure who to drop to bring in Moose. Would still like T-Mac in, but can see that they wanna get games into Howes, and CJ. T-Mac might slow us down a bit too much. -

Wasn't funny so didn't post.
Second was a reply to Brownie.
But on new music ive been loving cali band upchuck (think combo of the minutemen, early chilli peppers, circle jerks and black flag - would not look out of place in the film repo man).
And also loving Chicag/new york ban Water from your eyes. Not sure of a comparison but they remind me, more sensibility wise than sound, of erudite late 70s new wave bands like Talking Heads.
The Gnomes are a young Frankston band playing early sixties, Beatles style power pop. Great fun.
All three are playing at Golden Plains on Labor day weekend so probably playing gigs in Melbourne.
LOVE Water from Your Eyes.. Life Signs is a great track (and has a sick filmclip).. RMFC are touring atm and they are a great punk band outta Sydney. also been listening to a bit of 80s Arthur Russell past few days.

glad we have him on the list, but as BDA said, a risk of being suspended most games (which is fine i guess, but does impact the consistency of our forward line dynamic). if he, and someone like Heath, can take turns (not play in the same team) providing a forward half chop-out at times for Gawn, and then take a key defender, without getting in the way of our other more skilled forwards, then AJ will earn his spot. bonus points if he takes out a few of those Pies..

as much as i believe that our forward problem has mainly been due to delivery by our mids/wingers and coaching style (surely!), i think that this led to our forward not leading correctly and also getting in each others way. a strong forward coach would have stamped that [censored] out from day one, but it somehow persisted in a professional setting.. fingers crossed something changes. i am hopeful as a hell of a lot will have changed since mid-2025.

We have all watched it happen with our own eyes and screaming for change 4 years straight now.
I like Jeff.. but he didnt tell us anything ground breaking at all to be honest.
he's been releasing stuff prior to this video.. he seems to have great insight and can unpack things for us punters. plus, he played at the highest level.. i'd argue no one has said anything ground-breaking about the Dees at this point. but what he has said in this video and in ruck-specific content before has been insightful and well worth the praise that he gets on here.

Obviously needs a thorough medical and will need to have his defensive game coached up but profiles as a modern midfielder who excels in transition.
i agree, i saw him as a mid-fwd, as opposed to a medium sized forward. good but good size too.

very unexcited by dovaston.. despite the need for a small, i don't think we'll select him. hopefully there's a better small in next year's draft. i'd rather get a few more mids. need foot-skills and speed and another young inside mid to grow..maybe a KPF/B if one is there at our pick and JT likes what he sees.
