A suggestion doing the rounds is that our venerable leader Paul Gardiner is to voluntarily offer his resignation later this week .
-
Above all else we desperately need KPPs , not more in and under mid-fielders !
-
The results absolutely reflect the year from hell that we had .
IMO for Bate to come third and Davey fifth suggests masssive dilemmas were faced by the voting panel in their struggles to find anyone worthy of giving votes to - the former was very ordinary and the latter was very poor .
-
I know we've sort of known it for years but on BTB on Fox tonight when they were talking about Judd coming to us, 'Rocket' Eade said to Mike "what do you reckon Mike, your a Melbourne supporter?" Sheahan sort of didn't say much, just said what makes you think that? Eade just laughed
It's common knowledge that he's a Demon supporter along with Dennis Cometti

I'm not sure why you're comparing Rivers to Maguire. As far as talent, Rivers is head and shoulders above Maguire, big bodied or not big bodied!
Are you joking ?
-
Should we be targeting a player who is no improvement on our current CHB? Remember Jared Rivers?
I'd have thought we were all aware of Rivers' light frame and short stature being the only drawback to his being in the upper echelon of KPPs.
In terms of body structure Rivers is a boy compared to Maguire .
-
Maguire is big , strong , talented and dirty - EXACTLY what we need !

Yes and no. WJ and myself were bleating all week to play our untried players like garland and weetra and a couple of seniors could have played with Sandy. Sandy would then have at least made the prelim final. As far as the dees go as I also said if we had played my wife at Full forward and my Mother in law at CHF we would still have won. Carlton would not have lost even if we hadn't turned up. It was always going to be a Melbourne win. If we don't get Judd I hope the Blues do get him and that the costs in salary and the trade are horrendous for them. Remember the Eagles will want to trade Judd to a club where he can't hurt them in the finals and the Blues won't be there for years. if they sacrifice good players and high draft picks it will be harder for them especially if Judd's injury lingers. I can't see him going to Pies or Hawks. Blues if we fail are the club.
I don't think the comments about your wife are correct - from what I hear she has no left foot !
-
I would say that would apply to sources and "sauces" in general.
My source is on the Carlton Board .
-
The negotiations between Judd and The Glues have been going on for over 3 months according to my source.
-
A Carlton senior official told me today that I should put any money I had on the fact that Judd will be playing for his team next season .

I saw TJ last weekend with his arm in plaster .

Alright...
What your saying is;
Cameron Bruce's injury was a disappointment.
No him in general.
Right?
I hope you say yes...
Almost .
What I am saying is the effect of his being unable to contribute @ 100% capacity was " the major disappoinment "
-
It's not the MAJOR disapointment!!!!!
They were all hurt, they were all disapointing, he was not the one true MAJOR disapointment.
IMO as the premier player in the team ,his absence from the team through injury , or even when playing encumbered by injury , his lack of imput was the single 'major disappoinment ' in the year .
-
He also very humorously described how one of his sons was still a fervent Melbourne supporter and idolised Davey and Robertson , but warned him not to venture too close to them as they would be disappointments .
-
Bartram - excused , absent injured

Would like to know your 3 word comments from every player on the list for the season
I'll do it after the final round as always .
-
Like others previously , I also recall Brown's first agme against Carlton , when he saved the game with a sensational , and foolhardy full length dive and tackle which halted a forward thrust by the Blues with only seconds to go .
He always put the team ahead of his own safety and I would always marvel at his heroics .
Furthermore he has not overstayed his welcome and was probably our most consisitent performer over the last 4-6 weeks .
-
Putting a spanner in the works is last night's announcement that Melbourne has approached Dean Laidley's agent , thus ensuring that no announcement will be made until The Kangaroos' season is done and dusted .

ok then buddy... first of all to say Mclean is losing leadership is utter crap! he had 23 possies and if u had watched the game u would have seen that he had to try and man up other opponents because half his teamates were lazy and [censored]! that is true leadership. And newton to be a major disappointment?? wtf! are u expecting to him to kick 5 goals every game. players take time. he has shown us all that he can play and will be a real talent in years to come. robbo playing out time? watever, the guy puts in 100% every game and tries his best. something i admire. and to say CJ chances have expied is why i think u didn't even watch the game. his disposal by foot and hand are lazer like. some that can actually hit a target! the rest i sorta agree but i reckon bode showed a bit. another who can hit a target.
On reflection I think I may have been over - critical of McLean , but he has set such a high level for himself that we ( I ) expect him to perform herculean efforts each week .
