  1. The player has to agree to go, who wants to trade in someone who doesn't want to be there, the Club has always said it would look at anything offered, the goss I have is that is was Pick 7 and another one of their fringe players, maybe the club considered it a good deal
  2. Totally serious, I had him at Freo, until Hawthorn stepped at the last minute, which was after the Grand Final
  3. Interestingly Paul Roos and Jade Rawlings don't agree with yours or OD's assessment of Howie
  4. I try to explain to posters on here, been chatting to the players for a few years, always treat them with respect, I asked him straight, after explaining the media coverage and the four pages on here, I respect what he told me, of course this does not mean in the future circumstances will change, I asked his permission to post his comment about knocking back the move and he told me to assure posters he has no intention of leaving. As I put with Frawley, same with him, I don't believe he had decided to go any time during the season or when I asked him, this was all done post the season I spent 10 minutes talking to Nev Jetta today, but respect what he tells me and not to repeat or post anything he wouldn't want me to
  5. I went again, quick run down, warmup, kick, run, handball, kick, run, mark, kick, handball, run.....the skills are on the improve Going to put some photos on my Twitter, Demonpk, including Hogan Mr Lumumba was there, looks super fit, had a chat to him, lovely guy Bernie Vince acknowledged the shoulder was a bit light, no contact till January for him First time seen McKenzie and Jetta, both looking really fit although McKenzie has had the gastro that has been floating around the club Had a good chat to Nev, he has been working out at a boxing gym three days a week over the break, and on his running, disappointed that Dom Barry chose to leave, had a chat with him whilst Dom was deciding what to do, said Dom was coachable, a professional trainer etc etc, contrary to some of the rubbish on here Had a chat to Howie, posted in the Leaving topic
  6. Ok I spoke to Howie at training this morning, told him what was going on in the media, he hadn't seen any of it, spent the morning just relaxing before training The Pick 7 was on the table for him just before the end of Trading He rejected the move, yes I asked his permission to post that here, he says to assure supporters he ain't going anywhere
  7. That is rubbish, where did you hear that, I spoke to Straussy towards the end of the year, he was disappointed in himself he couldn't put it together, and besides that I actually saw Roos speaking to him at training
  8. Exactly what Nev did, I spoke to Tappy, he is under no illusions where he stands eiither
  9. You have to remember the exact same sentiments you are expressing were said about Nev Jetta last year, who knows?
  10. Cool he was missing yesterday and nobody was sure why, if he is there will try
  11. I am going down there again tomorrow, any questions you would like answered if I can get them, any stupidity will get the disdain it deserves, I already asked Jason Taylor who we are going to take at 3 (he was there on Wednesday), for some reason he wouldn't tell me Or any pics, though you will need to go to Twitter for them
  12. The one Roos thing I get from all the players is 'consistency' the players delisted up to now, for one reason or another, injury, illness, lack of preseason etc lacked consistency last year, Evans started his MFC career with stress fractures in is back, assume this put him back a year or two, he showed glimpses but obviously not enough to keep him on the list, Tappy is in the same boat......it also sends a very strong message to the list now
  13. Well said rpfc, Rory Taggert springs to mind, talked the talked but couldn't walk the walk
  14. No it wasn't, it was 'reported' on Demonland, let's just say I watched him 'live' last week at training, he did not look 'unfit' and obviously did what was asked of him, good enough for you
  15. Very amusing, I don't describe the training, I actually liked the Facebook report although it was a bit long, hence my comment, there are only so many ways to describe a kicking drill, the more the merrier I say, it keeps the supporters up to date and away from the Mark Stevens and his ilk rubbish, although the Barry call was a bit of a surprise to me, he seemed ok at training last week. I prefer to take piccies, they are on my Twitter account Demonpk, if you want to have a look, I prefer to have a chat to the players to gauge where they are at, like checking if Crossy has his game face on in November, he does
  16. I won't give you flack, just say that you have no idea whatsoever what is required to a. get drafted and b. stay on a list, that's why you are posting about players and not being posted about, yes they have a dream job, but the pressure it puts on young guys is ridiculous for something that is a sport
  17. I only get bored with the ones that give themselves an erection by posting something derogatory
  18. Tommy Mac made sure he had a good chat with Anstey as well, a basketball tragic, must say I don't venture to the northern end perhaps that's why I don't see them. Tommy Couch is/was a personal trainer now...has done a bit of work with the boys over the off season, probably having a sticky at his handiwork, Chip Frawley gave him an ad on Twitter as well, Chip was also bemoaning the fact that he got a parking ticket in the city this morning, I tweeted "aw what a shame" Forgot Tyson is doing specific work on his core, coz he has had a bit of hammy trouble in the past
  19. Read my post, again HE DID NOT TURN UP UNFIT...clear now
  20. I didn't think you could sink any lower than you have the past, but congratulations you have managed it, he didn't return unfit, he trained last week, and I stood next to him, what he is going through is something non-indigenous people would never be fully able to understand, he has done the right thing by the Club, what would you have preferred, he stayed unhappy and spent the year in Casey Development Team
  21. My hero, said from the safety of your keyboard, at least he is on a AFL list, are you?
  22. I asked him, he's not particularly fond of you either!!!....hahaha (joke)
  23. I was there again, the verbose report from Facebook above covers most of the drills, not sure where he/she sees the Collingwood staff though, although Chris Anstey (much to Tommy Mac's joy) was there watching the whole session, had a good chat to Roosy at the end so must be a llnk there Ben Newton was not there again, only ones missing who I didn't see, Hogan, Jetta, Jamar, McKenzie and all the newbies, Frost was only new recruit again Vince, Gawn, Spencer and Terlich were in the 'rehab' group I spoke to a few of the players Terlich is in rehab coz he had an ankle clear out over the off season, only a week away or so Both Gawn and Pencil are ticking every box on the way back, Max was pleased with his GPS numbers today Some of the younger guys were out early and did handball drills on the other oval and then went back inside, Salem, Kent, Hunt, King...Salem still mentally scarred from Arsenal's miserable performance at the weekend JKH has had a bit of tightness in his right calf since he came back, they are going to check it out Jimmy Toumpas was all ready to go day 1 and then got gastro, he is back fine now and raring to go Asked a few about Ed Morris, Howie said he was a goer, most think maybe his height or lack thereof is only thing that would stop him getting on a list Spoke to Crossy who is backing up for his 15th pre season, spent nearly two hours out on the track, not officially due back till next Monday, impressed by how most players have come back in top shape, glad the message is getting through, loves working with Roosy, paraphrase "he is straight and direct, no misunderstanding", was sad at the situation that unfolded at the Bulldogs, I reckon if you want a midfield spot, you will need to get past Crossy first Spoke to Sam Frost, they expect him to bulk up to about 97Kg in preseason and then trim it down to a playing weight of about 95Kg for the season ,he's at 93 at the moment Tappy fully understands the reasoning behind his delisting, couldn't get a consistent run at it, was invited to train on, not sure what is going to happen, Club has told him he needs to look after himself (ie if he gets an offer from another Club) is actually injury free, had the gastro and gave it to Jimmy Toumpas Going to put some photos on my Twitter Demonpk Forgot, first day on the long road for Trengove, inside doing weights (from Tappy)
  24. Gee there is some rubbish written in this topic, by posters who wouldn't get within a bull's roar of being on an AFL list, how much bottle do you think it took Dom Barry to come to this decision, doesn't seem to have been confirmed by the Club at this stage
