  1. No they played basketball with Chris Anstey, Tom Mc and Sam Frost starred according to Anstey's twitter!! Anstey is a good mate of Roos...don't know how
  2. Gee some supporters really do need to move their footy to 2015, I want maybe, 1 ruck, 1 key defender and 1 key forward and then the rest be able to fill any position thrown at them, I think this is what Roos wants as well, if any player is played forward that Demonland determines to be a midfielder and vice versa (there has been some clamouring for Kent to rotate through the midfield), then there must be a valid reason for it They all practice stoppage work, they are expected to do their bit
  3. Agreed, and let's wait till all the facts are known, and leave it with Mahoney, the lazy journos who trawl this site looking for news will love this, some of the posts in this topic say more about the poster than Jeff Garlett
  4. I am sure if he doesn't crack a spot in the 22 for Rd 1 he will be playing midfield for Casey, not my decision to have him training with the forwards, been doing that since he arrived
  5. Yes that would have been us, trekked home down Vic Parade as the sun came up ahead, going slightly off topic - best bit for me Ghostly Machines at Hamer Hall I appreciate the thanks, but also realise that I am lucky to be able to attend training, as a lot can't because of other commitments, so like to provide a bit of commute/work/travel reading
  6. I actually stand by what I said, when he re signed it was a turning point for him, to where he is now, was actually discussing this with him when the captaincy was announced the other week
  7. Nut I will whisper this, Roh Bail was audibly praised three times on Monday by Roos
  8. Depends on which translator you use, similar to the perception of Jordie McKenzie's playing ability
  9. 这是一个古老的大标志
  10. You have covered all I know about, apart from Mitch White (toe) and Jayden Hunt (back) both still on restricted, although joining in more drills Not sure what the issue is with King, will endeavour to find out, if he is doing off legs, he must be on a restricted program For Vince and Howe, I would start at 3 weeks maybe Neal -Bullen another 2 weeks or so, he is still straight line running, he will need to get confidence in the knee
  11. Thanks chap, but nobody on here decides, it is down to the Footy Dept, whilst a player is on the list, they will have my support, yes I get as frustrated as the next man at some of the errors during a game, but I move on quickly, that's what so good about footy, another crack For CFB, that is the way I speak, so therefore you will find a lot of commas in my writing, as basically I am typing as I think, if that's ok with you.
  12. Actually with his size and speed he is quite happy playing forward, so is Harmes, both still learning the craft of AFL midfield, if Petracca hadn't done his knee, he would have been forward as well Trenners 09 White has had a toe injury, think the strapping he had on it was more of a hindrance than help, got it changed
  13. I dunno I was still able to buy in Spencer has a 2 year contract in his bag, he doesn't like gum, I offered him some last year at training, (ex smoker/compulsive chewer), he politely declined
  14. Steady, reading facts, whatever next, although saying that those who are contracted, ie Spencer who got a new 2 year contract in October may be traded
  15. He was water boy on a couple of occasions, does that count, it was great to see his involvement, his op is tomorrow Tuesday, so suppose he was enjoying last day before the couch for the next couple of weeks
  16. Good report Trenners 09, glad you saw the same Watts I did That strolling around, usually the have a minute and a half between drills and they are encouraged to 'relax' similar coming to the bench in a game, they want them to switch off momentarily and then straight back on when the drill starts, saves mental tiredness It was a deliberate lighter session after the Intra-Club, expect them to be pounded on Friday if you are still here I remembered a good bit again, Tommy Mc, Dunny and Garlo were doing a drill of third man in to mark whilst the other two engaged, the ball got too close to the two, did Tommy Mc pull out, no of course he didn't, ending in a spectacular fall for him and a bruised ear for Garlo, the result is in pictures on my Twitter...he is dangerous haha If he gets a gig at all, it will probably be as a forward, he has done no inside midfield work up to now because of his shoulder, and that puts him behind all the other mids except Vince Edit..Trenners 09, you forgot the green bib for the designated kicker they are supposed to use in the full field drill, bit like the aircraft observers from the war, have learnt to recognise by hairstyle or lack of and running style
  17. ...and just a bit of competitiveness....have a good relationship with JKH, made sure I told him Jeff Garlett was excellent in the Intra Club and his place in the forward line was in jeopardy...his reply was "interesting"
  18. Roos only pulled them up once today, which is a good sign, think there was just a lack of talk, as I said after the spray it was a lot better which it should be
  19. Howie is pounding out the laps and so is Bernie , both are frustrated but understand the caution, I am not a fitness guru , perhaps somebody who is can explain, they seem to be doing a lot of swimming as well, what benefit does that have to overall fitness levels? With Watts, he did the whole session today without looking behind everybody else in fitness, so they must be getting it right Another little bit of info, complimented both Garlett and Stretch on their efforts in the intra club, Garlett again just said "doing what I am supposed to do" and Stretch thought he was ok, but still a long way off
  20. No, he has done a few full sessions, as I have said previously the whole fitness/medical side of things is handled really professionally now, when they were having a drinks break they checked on him, he waved them away, so obviously he is fine now, fingers and everything crossed
  21. Both Howie and Bernie Vince are being treated with kid gloves by the Fitness/Medical staff, Howies was originally more serious than Bernie's, spoke to Howie on Thursday and (Fitzy confirmed it today, he has had a bit of a niggle)....the player feels they can take 3 steps, the medical/fitness staff allow them to take one, it is frustrating all round but they all know it is for the best
  22. Vandenberg is ticking all the boxes, he is now back training fully, spoke to him at Casey on Thursday, all his GPS numbers are AFL level, he is the third fastest or so at the club for sprint speed, he is up to his playing weight of 92k and is feeling like he belongs, the more I see of him the more I can see why the club took the punt on him. His kicking for goal is very good, he makes the occasional clanger but so does every player Can see why Harmes is being looked at up there as well, he is an aggressive bugger, can take a mark and is fast, and can kick goals, I would say we will get to see both at some stage playing forward in the NAB Cup
  23. Sorry chap, just read it and typed, Roos was not a happy camper though, of course after the spray, next ball up, there were blockers and runners everywhere
  24. He was Watts today, moments of sublime skill, great speed and agility, dropped easy mark, etc etc, he did the whole session
  25. Everybody decided to clear out Clint and left Nathan Jones surrounded by 3, obviously the talk wasn't there, Roos stopped the drill and spent about 30 seconds pointing etc
