  1. I am of the opinion that my opinion of how to enjoy the footy differs in opinion to the opinion expressed by the original poster, opinions of course are personal, or that's my opinion anyway
  2. You always manage to put into writing what I am thinking, just sums it up perfectly, re his weight and strength, he is 112k, they don't want him any bigger
  3. Glass half empty again, it is not highlighting, it is merely pointing out that he is capable of doing this and has been doing it at training, I have reported this but been howled down by posters who think a lot of our players are just [censored], can't think who they are at the moment
  4. Haven't missed a game live (in Melb and some i interstate) or on TV that Jordie has played in since making his debut, even watched him at Casey games, formed my opinion from there, he is unfairly maligned on here, my opinion
  5. It all depends on your definition of 'limited footballer', he is on an AFL and he has played quite a few games and stayed on the list, some others you mentioin haven't, so therefore he can't be that 'limited' Yes I get as frustrated as the next during games, especially in the last few years, at some of the horrible turnovers and mistakes, but there seems to be a belief on here that players can't improve. I have spoken to both Mark Jamar and Lynden Dunn, (our 2 veterans) about this, they have learnt so much more under Roos in the last 18 months Joride Mc may not get games this year, who knows, I don't pick the team, but because of the depth (again some posters think this doesn't exist), I have seen him lift his game again, he has had to Of course if one of the 'younger' blokes comes in in his place and doesn't perform, we will have some fresh meat to complain about
  6. I appreciate your feedback, but 'iindiscretions', how preposterous, this is footy, yes Jordie makes mistakes, show me a footy player that doesn't, not the first to miss directly in front, and certainly won't be the last, when he pulls on the jumper he gives it 100% every time, that does me, if you call it an emotional attachment, then I can wear that He won coachs awards, so others must rate him as well.
  7. The one issue I still have with Max Gawn, is he still doesn't use his physical attributes well enough, he got thrown off the ball by Dunny previously who was giving away serious height and weight, this shouldn't happen, McCartney told him so and Col Garland did the same on Tuesday
  8. Next training, I will ask him his opinion of you, run over your cat did he, does that include the two or three Coach's awards?
  9. Are you allowed to drink at your age?
  10. JKH is my smokey to have a really big breakout year, he is learning everything he can of Jeff Garlett (the good stuff), yes there is space for both, or one on the bench, imagine having Garlett and you get tired and he is replaced by JKH, a small defenders nightmare
  11. He banged his knee getting into the golf cart, that's why I thought he had been belted in the head and was a bit woozy, at no time while he was with the medicos did they look at this knee TDI can you confirm what I saw in one drill? The Spencil lead out from the goal square and took a very impressive, soft hands mark, out in front of his body. Then went back and slotted the goal. Hold on that looked totally coordinated! .No your eyes did not deceive you, he has been training and looking a lot better than other posters give him credit for Are you sure you face the green bit when watching, Watts has done miles of miles of laps, he has been getting acres and acres of space since day one, because he is a natural footballer, once we learn to kick it to him, we may see the benefit, he was ok in the match sim Frost who is big and full of muscles but gee he was elusive and athletic in that drill. He later dropped a sitter of a high mark in one drill but maybe that is all about concentration...another McCartney moment took Frost aside in next break and went over the mark with him, think he had it spent before he got it
  12. Re Viney, I thought he got a belt to the head, a couple of the players thought it was to the midriff, and Jack Grimes said the gonads, so put all three, it must have been a decent whack, coz it shook him up, must be ok to be named though
  13. I have been led to believe that we are playing in white against Freo, unconfirmed
  14. Nev Jetta must be bitterly disappointed that he will have Ballantyne and Walters first up haha
  15. He is still on the way back from the toe injury, so may be fitness base, looked ok today, I thought Harmes would get a go against Frieo as well, maybe they are both not in Roos plans for AFL for 2015 along with Oscar Mc
  16. Yes, he had a pressure bandage on his calf, didn't seem to hinder him, whilst discussing the soccer, did remember to ask him, said it was fine, he did the whole session, suppose they will see how it is tomorrow over in the west, not worth risking him
  17. Both, he seemed to be tinkering a bit more today, wasn't raising his voice, fine tuning, we still had a couple of horrible passages of play, but that is to be expected What I liked today was if the kick went astray, there was a player backing up to tidy up and carry it forward. A couple of times the wind picked up and the player put too much oomph into the kick and it went over heads, rather than taking the shorter option Roos pulled this up, and then there was once when the defence went missing on a turnover
  18. That is McCartney's role at training, he roams around, a word here, an observation there, he talks to all the players, not just Watts, if he has something to say That being said Roos pulled up the drills today more than I have seen to make points, we are getting close
  19. You need to be patient, King took out White today in match sim with a beautiful tackle that wrapped up the ball as well
  20. Training today No shows Trengove, Petracca and Fitzy who is crook Viney got a belt in his head/stomach/gonads during match sim and left early Jack Watts confirmed he will play NAB but not this week, same with Jayden Hunt Spoke to Dean Kent, highly amused at the rumours, said he thought he was signed to MFC for 2016 At end of session Goodwin ran some one on one drills with Lumumba against Newton and Brayshaw against Jones, skinny Brayshaw more than held his own, apart from when Jones pushed him slighly in the back and he dived full length forward, much to everybody's amusement Some of the match sim was excellent today, players seemed happy with it, Tommy Mc was going really well, except for one kick from backline straight to Crossy front and centre 45 out, of course he was on the other side One nice bit, White, now fully fit, testing out the cannon of a left leg, took a shot from the edge of the square and put it through the centre of the goal post height Pig trained really well but finished early with Terlich and went and ran laps after he had tickled the ribs of Billy Stretch with one fearsome tackle in the match sim Pics on Twitter Demonpk soon
