  1. As others have said, you don't know who is behind the avatar That is the point I have been trying to make to the naysayers who said it was an opportunity missed,, nobody has any idea of what sales may have been made or otherwise And I spoke to a lot of other people besides one supporter, I am quite sociable, I come out from behind my keyboard now and again And it was a normal training day, except this week has changed slightly, with today being the day off and open training again tomorrow
  2. Gee that's a bit harsh, I had my cool designer hoodie on
  3. I hope you have a good mirror at home, didn't think you would have the kahunas to debate As for the $1000 take my word for it, that is the minimum cost As for the training, this was just a normal Monday session for the squad, with a time change so the Demon Army could put a BBQ on to raise funds for themselves, a more hospitable time I am not bickering, I am trying to present facts, some just don't want to hear them, particularly those who weren't even there
  4. How do you know? The membership and merchandising staff have stats that tell them what sells and where and so does membership. How many junior memberships would they have had to sell to cover the $1000? I don't speak on behalf of the club, I just try and add a bit of non carping Copying my sarcasm shows a lack of original thought, I would have thought chap On the question of attendance, I would say a couple of hundred max, and a lot were in team colours of some sort, and the latest gear, so merchandise sales may have been a bit slow Actually it wasn't, not everybody can be experts can they..although some seem to think they are And GRRM, you last post says more about you than the club
  5. Correct, damned if you do the right thing, damned if you don't, imagine the posts if the training staff had said to some on Monday he had gone for scans on this foot Yes he is, he is hoping to get a run, this will open the door, he has done his first full pre season and then got a virus just before Freo game
  6. The club does not have a bottomless bucket of funds, so it takes commercial decisions, I would rather this approach than to put us in massive debt again
  7. This is exactly right, you need a permit to fart in a public place and it costs a minimum of $1000 each time to set up Other posters complain that I said it was only a minority who complained, of the posts on here I would say there are only 5 posters who were actually there and complained in the topic, unless others didn't that is a minority of the posters on Demonland, others who didn;t attend and were therefore not affected just joined in As daisycutter has said, [censored] happens, the club has listened and responded, we have all had a good discussion, hopefully lessons learnt all round
  8. I could tell you how much it costs to hire Fed Sq for the day and it includes the advertising, and why the Club didn't bother last year
  9. I'll try again, and type slowly, I didn't take aim, but if you want to make yourself look a dill by using me, feel free This
  10. Collingwood did it because of Eddie, he had a special deal, everybody keeps praising PJ, if he has ok'd a deal wihout the advertising, that's ok by me, as I keep saying the whole Footy Clb runs to a budget, the last thing you need to do as a Manager in the club is exceed your budget, PJ would not be pleased, I think this impacts on what the Membership/Merch teams do, they have budgets as well Personally, as I have said many times before, if we have 'spare' money, I want it in the footy dept, that's where it all matters, if we get the footy right, everything else will fix itself because we will have more money in the budget
  11. As a per the norm with anything associated with MFC, it is only a small minority of the membership/supporter base who had an issue with it, and the club has dealt with it An example, we had a good conversation with another supporter who had a 4yr old son with him, he patiently waited, keeping his kid entertained with games etc, then was really pleased to get Nathan Jones autograph and a photo of him with his son, before training started, at no time did he get the [censored] and leave, he even stayed the course of the whole training session
  12. Been explained before no, they are not allowed to advertise as part of the lease at Gosch's, unless you want legal action, and you help pay the costs
  13. I actually know how much it costs. And I am trying not to apologize for the club as some think I do, but look from the admin/membership team point of view, a game against Freo, engaging the WA supporters, daily membership renewals, players ringing around tonight, a game in Ballarat engaging the supporters there, Family Day.....I think they have had an interesting week or two, they are also trying to keep costs down and spend whatever 'extra' money we have on the footy dept which is where it should be spent As other posters say 'just sayin'"
  14. This is Demonland, when has that ever mattered
  15. Did you actually go? Even if you didn't I am sure the Club would be interested in your feedback
  16. I don't usually read your waffle, but I assume you have been selectively reading again, I have been encouraging posters who had an issue with yesterday to communicate their displeasure to the club, which they have and we have had an explanation and apology from the Club, I just knew what would occur being a Demonlander myself There you go chap a justification, now back in your box
  17. Why is my photo included in a discussion about sex and OD?....I never touched him your Honour
  18. Thought I would put this here rather than starting another topic https://instagram.com/p/0BwzqBLpx_/
  19. Chap was having a go at you, totally understand where you were coming from, that is why people who were miffed should have complained to the club which they did
  20. Good on the club for issuing an explanation, just a communications [censored] up, seen those start wars, put in another thread that when we found out said to my lady "this should be worth five or six pages, if not a whole topic on Demonland" As for the Merch/Membershi, with money being tight and lot of it being spent by Footy Dept, which it should be, the merch and membership paraphernalia has to be transported to Goschs at a cost, they have to hire a marquee/tent and tables, at a cost again, they need staff to work on a Public Holiday, at a cost, for a couple of hours and a few hundred, assume this was all looked at We had Nev Jetta checking his phone when we bumped into him on Swan St at 11.45 to make sure he hadn't cocked up. Players had to report to AAMI at 12 for training prep, this involves, massage, strapping, meeting, so assume on the Training Calendar whoever looked at the timing saw the same thing and assumed this meant when training would start As you know I have attended most trainings, haven't seen one with the players on the ground at the advertised time
  21. In one Daisy, my words to my lovely lady as we found out from Nev Jetta, (don't have a smart phone, can't stand em)...."this should be worth about five or six pages, if not a whole topic on Demonland" When the training is on at 9.15 I usually get there about 9.10 and do laps on my scoot for a bit of exercise until the players stroll out between 9.20 and 9.40, so was used to it
  22. Gold.......I'll ask him...he'll love it...he is not a happy camper being held back...he looked fine yesterday
  23. And any others, if you have any spare time, the Club is always on the look out for volunteers for various activities, so give them a bell if you do
