  1. Watch West Coast play the Crows. We are mentally weak, nothing to do with Darwin. If we were so tired why did we dominate the last quarter. Fact is, the coaches and players were poor. Like the players, we should stop looking for excuses and man up.
  2. Done way too late Paul. Out coached again! Doesn't justify the pay packet!
  3. Sad, need an effort. Put Mcdonald Forward, Hogan back. Something! Need drastic change. Does Roos know the meaning of insanity. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Forward line isn't working!!!
  4. Enough with the excuses! Players and coaching group take responsibility. They have their best 10 out!
  5. Forward line isn't working change the mix Roos. JKH on Dawes off.
  6. Dear Paul Roos, How do Essendon get one on ones and we don't. Kind Regards Dion
  7. Underrated for us this season, in the top 5 for the league for inside 50 tackles this season.
  8. I'm saving judgement for the second half. Shocking half. Big second half for Roos and the players. I expect to break away. That would show progress. Still hopeful, Gawn is playing another blinder (minus the miss shot). Armchair ride for Vince, Tyson, Jones and Viney. Should see us home. Let see.
  9. He is a good player. Second best key defender after Rance. If the rain holds off we'll win.
  10. Chris Dawes throwing a player without the ball down to the ground. Legit 50. Dumb Dawes.
  11. The umpires aren't the worse thing about this match.
  12. On a side note, I cant handle seeing Howe out there. Continues to not care to do the hard stuff. His man is having a huge influence clogging up Hogan's space. Wish Roos was tougher sometimes.
  13. We've been poor with our entries inside fifty. Have to give credit to Essendon their plans are working, much like the NAB cup game. Players behind the ball. Frustrate our entries though long bombs. Howe, Dawes and Hogan need to separate, all jumping at the same ball allowing Steinberg and Gwilt to drop off. Big test for Roos right here right now. Coaching points to Hird clearly ATM. Barring injury need JHK to replace a tall when subbed.
  14. I know I am bashing Roos a lot in this thread. I just want to clarify, that he is a good coach and has greatly improved us, through list management and development. However, when he has a shocker he should be called out on it like anyone else. Roos had a stinker. Sorry for going on about it but I needed it off my chest. Have a good night guys. Hoping next week improves!
  15. Another cull, been hearing about that since 2007. Agree Dunn, Howe, Watts and M.Jones aren't up to it. But Jesse White and Travis Varcoe are pretty poor at the Pies too. A time comes when the coach has to take responsibility. If the players aren't up to it, why do they play? Surely Stretch, Michie and ANB would be worth an extended run in the team ahead of those blokes. Yet, Roos continues to play the former, he should therefore cop some of the blame.
  16. Agree, though it's frustrating. Especially when we rarely give a 100% effort. We did today. When poor coaching contributes to a loss, it kills ya, it hurts.
  17. That's the point. We gave them one spare back, we had one spare back. The game became a defensive rebound game, with the extra. The issue for us being we cannot retain nor move the ball with an extra they can. One on one we were dominating because the game didn't rely on skill. Poor coaching.
  18. Oxley marked because of rushed long kicks forward because we didn't have a one on one match up. Skill errors were a result of Collingwood pressure and lack of skill on our end. Those cannot be avoided, Oxley as a loose could have,
  19. Watch the replay, and see how many times Oxley marks on his own in our 50.
  20. Agree totally, I hope Goodwin had nothing to do with the tactics today.
  21. Really disappointed in the coaching staff today. The players were brilliant, yes Ftiz and Dunn had brain explosions and Watts could've been harder with the mark. But for the first time I can remember we lost this match in the coaching box. When we had an even number of players in the forward line, we moved the ball with confidence knowing we'll have a contest. Scored multiple goals in a row. As soon as Buckley put an extra back, we passed sideways and when we did kick long up forward their extra Oxely marked. Our scoring dried up. Worst game Roos and co have coached and I'm a Roos fan. Very disappointed. Missed opportunity.
