  1. With the talent Mick Steiner has had the last two years (which will be decimated next year with 2 new teams, especially with Geelong), if he fails to make a final he has well and truly blown it. I've said this before in our game threads, as a fan of womens footy I'm flabbergasted with the way he has abused a dominant midfield with the awful forward line setup he has adopted. #1styearplayerisourgotoption #Notherfault
  2. Absolutely, you've said it right there. Collingwood are not a good side & we are behind them at half time. With the quality of players we've got this is inexcusable. Next year we'll have heaps of our list (Mithen, Hoare, Rocky) taken from us to Geelong and Steiner is just leading us to another disappointmentent with this talent. Very very angry!
  3. Bloody frustrating to follow the women's game for 5 years and see the equivalent of Ablett, Dangerfield and Martin in our midfield but we are as meek as we are against legit toilet rolls. If we don't win this Stiener should never coach any side male, female, junior and anything inbetween ever again. Unbelievable idiotic stuff!
  4. For all the 'guns' we have recruited, I haven't been impressed with Mick Stiener's coaching. Looks out of his depth. Scored out the back, smashed out of the middle and we apparently have the best midfield. Yeah, Steiner has had his go.
  5. Apologies for the self indulgent bump but I feel today is worthy of it. As the thread suggests back in 2014 Neville arrived as an elite small defender. This week, 3 years later, the media will finally recognise him. It won't be any surprise to us.
  6. Agree, values every possession he gets. Tom Mcdonald should follow Jetta's example. Know your limitations.
  7. The senior players showed true leadership. Brilliant stuff.
  8. Just heard Paul Connors Melksham's manager on SEN. Basically Goodwin wants Melksham, Melksham loves Goodwin from his time at the bombers. It's either Essendon or Melbourne for Melksham.
  9. Agree totally, I think some people unknowingly mistake the difference between circumstantial depression and biological depression. Bad circumstances can make anyone feel down, sad and even depressed but our moods generally change subject to improvement in our environmental factors (Job, relationships, stress etc....) People like Wayne Schwass, Nathan Thompson and now potentially Buddy Franklin feel depressed for no reason other than biological factors, their great environment (Million dollar player, engaged to a model etc...) make no difference to their outlook on life. And to be fair to people casting assertions, people with mental illness are lot more likely to use outside sources (Drugs, alcohol, gambling) to ease their emotional discomfort then people unaffected by mental illness. It's an unfortunate cycle that way. A lack of empathy from some on this board isn't surprising but an unfortunate trend I'm seeing a lot more in society lately.
  10. Mental Illness doesn't discriminate. I work in the field and feel the utmost respect for Lances's public admission. People raging about the contract I could generally accept, however through working in the field I cannot accept this mocking behaviour. I'll repeat mental illness does not discriminate. I feel sympathy for Lance and wish him all the strength in the present and future. I hope he connects with the important people in his life and feels better. All the best Lance.
  11. Haha, thankfully that's one similarity they don't share. Pathetic free kick just then too BTW.
  12. I like Mitch White so far. Already feel more comfortable with the ball in his hands then some others.
  13. Taylor always said Salem was a Luke Hodge type. Seeing it more every week.
  14. I don't like saying it but Grimes & Garland just scream losers. Have ability but need to be at a strong club.
  15. 56 to 2 and I'm not shocked. Says something about where we're at.
  16. What's annoying me is Freo aren't playing well. The self inflicted harm has gone from painful to funny. I sorta want to loose by a lot, I'd rather the club fold and put me out of my misery. I feel like an abused girlfriend. I'm in an unhealthy relationship I can't get out of, HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Full time professional athletes. McDonald seriously?
