I like new rules. The AFL always gets them 100% right, and it never changes the game in ways unexpected.
  2. 2. Robbie was the best player I've seen take the field.
  3. I'm sort of hoping the appeals board hands down the death penalty.
  4. Bloody shift work. I finished at 6am and stayed up to listen to the game, only to fall asleep at Q time and wake up to hear the end of game wrap up. Biggest win of the year and I missed it. Grrrrr! Anyone that can PM me a replay link will forever have me as their new best buddy.
  5. The giggles that gave me can never be properly put into words.
  6. I hate every other team. Because we are playing St Kilda today I hate them more than most.
  7. I found it interesting that 10 out of our 16 goals were kicked by players that didn't play last week. We shouldn't be happy with only playing one and a half good quarter though.
  8. Get our structures right and I'd say anyone. We lead most stats most games, but screw it up going forward, then git killed on the rebound. It isn't the players this time - it is a coaching box being too clever by half. Good teams win flags by doing the basics right, not by trying to pull an ace out of the sleeve that only works for 15-20 minutes.
  9. Flat track bullies. Heh. I wish. It's been a long time since we have given a team a good old kicking. I'm thinking Gold Coast a couple of years back. Frawley is an idiot.

I'm not blaming the players. They have been given a crap system, that changes from week to week, and which is figured out by good coaches in about 15 minutes.

[censored] off Goodloss. You are another Neeld.

Goodwin is a bad coach. While having talent on tap he has taken us backwards. He seems to have a bright idea every week that confuses the players. If we win it will be because of the players and not because of his inventive tactics.

Do we actually have a backline coach?

    It was a joke, Joyce.
  16. Then I expect you to become a genius tomorrow, Doc.
  17. I think you missed this bit, Doc 'Sure you can win without a gun ruck, but only a fool wouldn't want one.'
  18. You think? Big men don't get smaller as the game goes on. It's no co-incidence that whenever Gawn has been resting or injured other sides get their run on. Sure you can win without a gun ruck, but only a fool wouldn't want one.

Thought he was pretty quiet on Sat. 20 touches and 2 goals. I'm not used to seeing anything less than 30 next to his name.
  20. And you know this because it was in the media. You can't tell me with a straight face that if one journo got wind of Jesse being shopped we wouldn't have seen it the next day. WA media would have climbed all over it.
  21. Fake news. I saw him smile last night. I got told that Eade was coming to coach us from someone that really should be in the know. A week later we hired Neeld. That's not to say that what they said was BS, just that maybe the water cooler talk was furphy stuff. I also find it a little hard to imagine that a Caro or a Barrett wouldn't have got wind and peed in their pants as they rushed to break the story.
  22. Serious? You need to go back and have a look at his post draft interview with Tracc. He was the class clown there. A bit of competition for Gawny I thought at the time. But maybe he isn't enjoying things right now. He knows he's too good to be hanging out in the magoos, and has had a shocking run with the concussions. I'd be feeling a bit deflated too, but that will change the next time he is in the seniors and gets to sing the song.
  23. It's not ill will. But he plays for the enemy. Last time his contract came up, and he was making noises about leaving I was in the camp of hoping he'd go, and hoping he'd stay, and was a bit meh when he signed on, but excited thinking that this was the boot he needed. Same as this summer. I hoped that we'd come to an arrangement that kept him here, but also knowing the MFC had had enough and we'd never see the best of him. So... maybe Port will get the return on our investment that we never got, and now he is a player for a team that stands between us and a flag. So I say crunch him. If he wants to turn it on for them after cruising for us then I hope when he plays us he spends 3 days recovering from (legal) tackle bruises.
  24. I hope we gang tackle him a la Collingwood on QB. Screw him. He danced around like a girl for the better part of a decade, taking good coin and chipping in when he felt like it. Smash him into the ground 3 times in the first Q against them, and then watch Port play a man down for the rest of the game as he hides from the contest.
