  1. That is quite incredible considering we were awarded a total of 24 free kicks for the game. If you put that together with the i50 stat, where we had 69 to their 39, it's safe to assume a large portion of the game was played inside our forward 50, yet every single free kick was paid in other parts of the ground. Wow. May I ask Mr Leg, do you have data on free kick locations, or is that just from watching the game? I'm hoping the data is available for all games.....
  2. I wrote this in another thread, perhaps the wrong one, but now they've proved themselves to be able to adjudicate fairly, that takes incompetence out of the equation. So what would the other potential reasons be for their poor and biased decisions?
  3. We need to accumulate players of Gaff's quality
  4. Kudos to a few blokes on here who were adamant he was the goods prior to the draft. They wanted him and talked him up so much I think most of DL was convinced, to the point where a Fritsch rumour file was created. I can't remember names but Drunkn was definitely a big instigator. He'll be a star of the game with a couple of preseasons under the belt.
  5. Very good MR, however I have to pull you up on the bolded section. I know for a fact the 2016 event was held at Whitten Oval.
  6. There was an absolute ripper of these in the Collingwood game. Whistle went, free kick Pies, all players kept following the Pie with the pill. Seconds go by, Pie looks around and slows down to go back for the free, no advantage call so our boys stopped. Advantage, advantage. Pies clear through on goal. I'm going to blame that call for the half time 50 against Clarry. Yes he might've taken it too far, but if he doesn't make that tackle the Saints can just go. I'd love to see a replay. After paying the free, did the ump blow his whistle to pull the game up, or did he wait to see what would happen, putting doubt in Clarry's mind on an advantage call. Play the whistle, no whistle = stick the tackle. The other side of the coin is, Clarry was penalised for tackling the player after the play had 'stopped'. Wasn't there a centre bounce recalled in the first qrtr where Longer poleaxed Gawn? Shouldn't that also be a free kick? I was listening on the radio at that point so didn't see vision.
  7. Take it to the draft, we're starting to see a turnaround in the fortunes of the number 31.
  8. Apparently the blues are stocking up on large size brown paper bags.

He must've built good relationships with the likes of Emirates and Holden. Go get em champ.
  10. Fair enough. Out of interest though, what did you think about the Jetta move at the time? Personally I think Kent's shown more than Jetta had.
  11. I reckon he's a candidate for the 'Jetta maneuver'. Delist and rooke if available. Can't see anyone trading for him, but he's worth having around and if he can get his body right there's decent upside.
  12. One thing's for sure, Silvani is stalking
  13. I thought clubs were supposed to 'earn' prime time games. With the Blues getting all these Friday night spots surely they aren't going too bad?
  14. [censored]. I need to hit the gym!

  16. We'd probably try to turn him into an inside mid unfortunately.
  17. When did they self-report? They were about to be raided and were warned in enough time to destroy evidence. Delusional [censored]!
  18. No, but apparently AFL Tribunals are.
  19. 'I had no idea what I was selling, I just knew it cured cancer.'
  20. Agreed. I'd love to see a forward line of Hoges, TMac, Weids, Fritsch, Spargo and Jeffy. Hannan and Melksham interchange, with those 2 and Trac rotating midfield/wing and forward. Oppostion coaches would have to seriously think about their selections to combat that, rather than the other way round. Apart from Garlett, they all have good years ahead of them still, hopefully he can find some form quickly.
  21. Special mention needs to go to young Fritsch for Spargs first goal as well. His spoil on the bigger, more experienced Hurley was a beauty. Charlie was waiting exactly where all good small forwards should be, front and centre.
  22. Think about it for a second. If there were no clubs or pubs with pokies, where would the gamblers have to go for a fix?
  23. Perhaps it should be known as 'the closure goal'?
