  1. Best does show some great pace, but think he is like Blease not a team player.
  2. Best Tynan was Luke, Josh was off in the first quarter after going for a high mark, maybe concussion. Spoke to him at three quarter break stated he was ok but Dr wanted him to get checked out.
  3. Glad to see Troy finally gets a game, hope they don't make him sub for the game. At least he has a crack when he goes onto the field
  4. Feel for him, lets upgrade him but not give him a game. About time coach showed some balls and dropped some of the senior players.
  5. Wtf 2 changes, the side has been well beaten the last few weeks and we make 2 changes. They say they don't want to gift players games. Well there are about 10 players being gifted games for the last few weeks. Thought this coach would have some balls and drop some of the well named players. Cannot believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Thanks for clearing that up Roger Mellie, I did mean the pre season game.
  7. It would be a good swap Watts-Barlow
  8. What's Barlows contact position at Fremantle?
  9. Out- Older players In - Tynan, Taggert and Strauss The only game we won early in the year was against Port Adelaide ( and haven't they been good) where we went with a younger side with players that wanted to win and had grown up in a winning culture. I believe half the problem is some of our players have not won on a regular basis for so long they have forgotten how to win. Instead of going out expecting to win they go out to play with no confidence about winning.
  10. Cannot believe MFC rave about Blease. After watching him yesterday, yeah has great pace but he burns his teams mates. Twice in the first quarter he had the ball on the wing, instead of heading goalward he goes to the boundary and puts himself under pressure and burns the guys further up the ground that have already led. Heard him abuse Tynan because Blease handballed to Tynan and because Tynan gave it to a team mate in better position and not back to Blease, Blease abused him. If Casey want to go deep into finals hope they take Blease back to MFC. Not a team player at all.
  11. God we love burning our own dont we. Dunn was one of our better players on the weekend, he got possibly the hardest job running with Thomas and did it well. As for Davey he has been a standout player for the team for years, he is getting slower but still has a lot of class, I thought he has been running hard in the last few weeks. His game on the weekend was not great but he did not stop chasing, his problem was that North had a spare man in defense so he was running from one to another all day trying to cover over laps. Brynes tried again he was meant to be a small forward, if you look at his stats you will see he gets more of his kicks on the half backline than the forward line, he should be down the other bloody end, but we just cannot get the damn ball down into our 50 where he should be. When we do get it down there we are outnumbered time and time again and the opposition just runs it out using the overlap. God every other side sees we are hopeless at the spare man in defense so why do we still do it. Pederson his stats were pretty good for him, he will get better with time, it was not long ago everyone was bagging fitzy now he is hitting some form, we like him, Pederson has the potential to do much better, unfortunately he may need another pre-season to get him fit, but then the same could be said for the whole side they way they capitulated on Saturday after half time.I would like to see our ruck coaches work more with our rucks, Gawn is getting first touch often enough but the ball is not going to our players, needs to work on that with the mids. We need to use Dunn's long kick down the center more often, it has worked several times this year, surely we should be able to pull oppositions sides away from the centre and then have players double back to take the long kick down the middle. Bleese is such a disappointment so much pace but cannot catch a cold. He is just obsessed with running and kicking for goal, he needs to get a defensive side to his game, i.e. put into the backline and have him man up on someone and be accountable, learn to be defensive and see if he can use that pace off the back flank, see if he can at least find the damn ball. Trengrove should either be playing VFL, or on a half forward flank as he is a bit of a liability in the midfield. Down forward he can take a mark and kick reasonably well, if we could only get the ball into our 50. Deecisive after watching Casey most of the year, they play better without Bleese he wants to be a hog and not play team footy. He has great pace but every time he gets the ball he tries to do to much. He won't be dropped as Coach Craig loves him
  12. Don't see how he could be considered as the coach. His job was a mentor and advisor to Neeld and we all know what happen to him. He seems very set in his ways but certainly plays favourite to certain players.
  13. Went and watched the game, great to see players play with passion and for each other. not like some of the MFC senior players. Hope they can go deep into the finals. Thought Barry was good early on used his place well but at time tries to do too much. Best game I have seen Tynan play for a while and good to see him playing up the ground on the wing not stuck in the back line. Hogan was Hogan... Just hope someone can get him kicking better over the summer months , but the way we develop our younger players he may not improve. Thought Taggert was a bit quiet early on but when moved onto the ball he improved heaps. Used the ball well and gave a option. His steal in the collingwood back line in the last quarter was great and to follow up with a goal would be great for his confidence. Davis ... Another we seem to stuff up was playing great football a few weeks ago in the back line only to go forward and when Hogan is your main option he will struggle. Against the wind was used in the back line . For his sake wish they would leave him in the back line has great closing speed and is rarely beaten when its one on one.
  14. rjay Did you notice after a great game in the midfield for the development team (after having his wisdom teeth out) they play him the majority of the game as a half forward flanker again. Went onto the ball for about 5 min. He would be one of the best kicks in the side week after week. Some weeks he does not get huge possessions but as a half forward flanker you have to accept that. Neeld at the start of the year moved him out of the mid field group and into the forwards. If he gets a game for MFC it won't be in the midfield.
  15. rjay, sure are, they drafted Taggert as a mid, thought he was ok last year, but played all this year as a forward. Should be developed in the midfield has a lot to offer.
  16. From what I have been told Neeld told him he was better suited as a forward and has been played as 5th and 6th forward. FFS he is a good kick let him pass to the forwards. Go and ask Hulk Hogan if he likes Taggert to pass the ball to him.... Lace out go and watch the games.
  17. I believe he has told some of the players at the club he will go back to WA when he can
  18. FFS if Tom McDonald gets straight back in, was playing ordinary before he got injured, then 4 weeks out injured. Needs to play for Casey to get some confidence.
  19. He would upset some people, but would also make the club better
  20. Hells where did you watch the highlights?
  21. So master are you saying he should be in midfield? I agree all play forward/ midfield. But he is not playing in the mids at all. He did play great last year when in the mids, and that was after his his first stress fracture to his back. Cannot see why we would want to change his position this year.
  22. Those that reckon Taggert will go into the midfield, if you watched games he is always forward. Apparently Neeld put him into the forward group after the first practice game. Rotates around the forward line but not midfield. Maybe another junior we can stuff up.
  23. Went and watched the game yesterday. What is the go with Hogans set shot routine. He starts ok then a few steps before he kicks his left foot ends up behind his right foot. Is he going to be another example of the way we develop our juniors.
  24. Please don't bring Tom Mac straight in, he has not played a great game this year, he needs to come back via Casey
