seeing that the mighty dees aren't going to be there I really don't think i'd watch it anyway and its its got bloody sydney in it i might give my tv away to charity. (then by a new one b4 round 1 2008)

only channel 10 want it at night...only for ratings.. quite frankly they only hava the right to broadcast...not to dictate.. .

They can ram it where the sun dont shine for mine.

Its been on in the arvo since dot...and can stay that way. Dont mess with tradition 10...or move on.

Ten has every right to ask anything they please (I don't think that they ever tried to disguise the fact that it was for the ratings) but it should never be moved.

The tradition of the afternoon Grand Final is actually a wonderful break from all the other codes that are playing the big games at night.

What baffles me is why they don't just play a day game and delay the telecast into the non-afl markets! It seems to be good enough to delay the games through the season proper. so why change tradition/

It's a Win, Win. The football supporters in Melbourne will get their day game, and the broadcasters and AFL will get their prime-time broadcasts into non-afl dominated markets. Afterall they are kidding themselves if they think that they will increase the audience in Melbourne by playing the game at night  , but it might have an impact in other cities.

And my dear Toad, please don't start throwing those dangerous suggestions around......

I think that we get screwed enough as it is ;) :D !!!
