Demonology Racing Syndicate

Ok, I don't post on here. A few of us a that 'other site' Demonology have chipped in to buy a race horse that will race in Demon silks. The details are below.

For the record I'm not the organiser but a humble share holder. I'm a Flemington member but to be honest I know bugger all about horses apart from having the odd punt when I go to the track but am joining in for a bit of fun.

Please read the below from the main organiser who has had an interest in the nags and has owned a couple of runners. You can email him at dawi03@gmail.com if you are interested and want more info.

Shares of 5% are available. You can split that up with mates but one person must be registered as an official 5% stakeholder.

Hoping a couple of you out there want to come along for the ride. Five spots remain!

"We have now bought a horse for our Demons Horse Syndicate, anyone that is interested we still have 25% available. Would be great to fill it with all Demons!

The Filly is by Elvstroem who needs no introduction winning over $5,000,000 in prizemoney. She looks great, has just been broken in and ready to be brought back from a spell and put into work. She should run this year which is fantastic for all owners.

She will be trained by Rebecca Waymouth out of Mornington. Rebecca needs no introduction as she comes from a family who has been in the industry over 80 years, and has had many success along the way.

The costs to get involved is only $500 a 5% share which is very cheap, you will have access to naming rights to the filly and free raceday passes for you and your partner.

The ongoing costs are just $30 a month when spelling and $100 when in full training plus any other smaller bills will just be divided up by the group.

Come join in the fun this offseason with fellow dees members, have a beer and watch our Demons girl run and hopefully get us a win"

Heres her pedigree

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
