It is pretty obvious to say that both Collingwood and Sydney are premiership contenders and really solid football sides, but something impressed me about both matches that really make me happy to see.

Whilst yes, we scored incredibly low in both games, i understand it. Roos is instilling a game-plan that finally matches it defensively with those top teams. It is not the matches against Carlton or Richmond that i am overly happy with defensively, it's the matches against the top teams where they havent scored over 70 that i am happy with. Collingwood is an aggressive and fast moving team, so for them to score so low is a huge bonus.

Once we learn how to attack effectively we will legitimately have an opportunity to win against those top 4 teams. Last year we might have scored 65 points, but they would have scored 130. We are closing the gap. I would absolutely love to switch Gawn with Hogan and have Hogan in the goal square, because he probably would've taken a few today.

Bring on the top 4 sides, i want to see relentless defensive pressure. Eventually we'll crack them
