Dees attack going Hungry

Featured Replies

I have an article on my wall written by Mark Stevens from the Herald Sun.

Melbourne Season Preview, with the Heading "Dees attack going hungry"

To summarise,

If you get the ball inside 50 more than your opponent, chances are you will win.

In the past 4 years the demons have been last in the competition for forwards differentials.

This Trend Has been glaring obvious in the first few rounds, nothing has changed, in fact i think its worse.

Stevens suggests, we defend from too far back, Almost 40% of the turnovers they inflicted were in the defensive 50, clearly the most of any team last year, another area id suggest is worse.

So basically all our issues we had to fix have become wild fires now, suggesting our game plan is flawed.

Our issue is we are soft, that other sides see us as soft, and that we have some players who are frightened of physical contact.

This is the kindling from which the wild fires have erupted.

The poor coaching is just fuel on the fire.
