  1. Dad and I ventured down there today, and McVee was excellent today...that kid is an absolute gun...took on Trac 3 times in a row, and beat him on all three....Trac let out a few swears after...
  2. Townsville......much nicer place
  3. Sean Charles Mk II...........will never recover from his wrist injury, and no matter where he plays, he will not be the same as he was for us.
  4. Welcome aboard AD..... Where abouts in the States do you live.....my wife is from Florida, and we return yearly...have a step daugther living in Portland..... As to our biggest current rival......its funny....traditionally and Historically, it has always been the Filth (Collingwood)...but in the last decade or so it is now the Scum (Essendon).....tho personal hatreds will always bleed thru for different people... Welcome to the club....... Oh, and as for teams over there that I support, have had a bit of luck in the last few years.....Patriots in the NFL, Bruins in the NHL and Sox in the MLB......dont really follow NBA.......
  5. Fence, whilst I applaud you bringing your crusade to a new forum, it still does not change the fact that you are tilting at windmills still....Juice was a pea hearted hack that had far to long a run on our list than he really deserved. He never got an extended run because he was lacking one vital ingredient in the make up of a successful footballer...heart. Newton at Geelong still would have been a pea heart, no matter what the delivery forward was like.....he just would have had a few more chance to shirk it than he did with us is all.

So I guess this is where we announce that we are coming over....or back...or whatever...... This place aint gonna know what hit it
  7. No.....people seem to be forgetting the most important factor here....HE IS A CLOKE.....that alone should be enough to turn people away from even thinking of signing him....
  8. In 2006, when we were the top tackling side in the league, we were not hard, just ferocious at the ball. We did not intimidate players out of contests, and away from the ball, our players did it with sheer brute force and excellent tackling. All that we need to do to regain that is to hit the gym and put back the muscle and bulk that was lost over the last pre-season and this year, and to put back the desire for the ball into the minds of the players. Bailey's first mission as coach is to put pride and self belief back into the team, and then to instill in them a respect for the other 21 guys that are out on the field with them at the same time. We do not need to have a team of enforcers out on the paddock to scare the opposition, having 22 guys out there that will try their hardest to get the ball away from you at any oppertunity should be sufficient enough. We need to look at Brisbanes game plan of a few years ago when they were winning premierships easily, and start to hunt in packs again, having 3 players attacking the ball and the player with it. That, as opposed to a player like Pickett running thru the occasional opponent should be enough to intimidate most sides.
  9. For the third week in a row, those of us living in Northern Queensland are screwed over by both Austar/Foxtel and Channel 7....Both of the stations have decided that living in Queensland that you must support the Bears, so we have the game live on both channels now...Austar has the Melbourne game on at 8pm, an edited version that runs for two hours, whilst Channel 7 has decided that midnight is a good time to replay the game, in its entirety i might add.......I am so sick of this crap being dished out to people living in regional areas....
