what a magical past couple of days this has been haha!

Perhaps I do not fully understand how the rookie elevation works. I was under the impression that he couldve been elevated if there was a spot in the team. I respect what your saying there and normally would agree with that train of thought. However, in this case Watts wouldnt be the first player I would be dropping (or the second... third... fourth etc) and I think that sends a really weak message to a team of under performers who need to be made absolutely accountable for their [censored] poor efforts. The GWS game would purely be a confidence builder for young Jack, then play him at Casey next few weeks, while the dee's play Brisbane and Carlton.

If he is down on confidence and the coach wont play him at casey, he should play against the GWS and be given very simple but explicit task for whatever position he is played in. If the guy is down in the dumps from his grandfathers passing and then being the poster boy for all things wrong at the Dees, I dont think having him sit out of a game against the Giants will help him find form or help him develop character. This would be a poor coaching decision, which coupled with what seems to be a lot of other poor decisions (from the outside looking in) this would lead me to believe Neeld might not really know wtf hes doing.

DUH! I know Magner is ineligible! ... The point about Magner is more that its ridiculous that he is just a rookie when he had given more effort than 3/4 of the team... Melbourne and Nathan Jones needs it. Poor decision by the football department IMO to keep him a rookie. This has probably been stated before, if it has... thats fantastic :-)

If Watts doesnt play... Neeld has lost me. And FFS get Magner into the team!

I hope Jack Grimes buys this kid lunch tomorrow... he owes it to him after making him look like a complete moron, passing it to him in the 4th while he had someone almost inside him. It was biologically impossible! And ended in a free :-( Poor Jimmy... its hard to learn when everyone else is only a few steps above you.

If we lose by a lot I think the club needs to run an independent review of the players, coaching staff, practices etc. While it is easy to say get rid of Neeld, doing so would really screw things up more (possible and for the reasons mentioned above). Having an independent review would then add merit to any action taken against Neeld, or to Neelds ability to coach depending on the findings.

I havent read anything else posted (sorry if this has been said...) Mitch Clark should be captain! Mitch Clark should be cloned 22 times, with (good) bits of Viney, Watts, Frawley chucked in there for different ability sets... and then Mitch Clark should become the most dominante AFL team in Australian Rules. Go the mighty MITCH CLARKS!

Getting a win tomorrow would really stick it up those extremist media flogs... Whatever happens tomorrow, I just hope the game is watchable.

F:)ck Essendon supporters and their club... they would be the first to spit on the dees if the club went down. However, like some of their players and hope that their legacies arnt ruined by this crap. Jobe Watson should come play for the Dees :-D

If the Russian is disappointed about being dropped hopefully he will use that as motivation to kill it on ground this year and earn a spot back next.

Hes 24, not 18... cant call him a kid. His fall from grace is very sad - glad that he has gone from the club though (we dont need the attention).. I wonder how much his family has contributed to his downward spiral? I also wonder if Caro and [censored] will try and place the blame onto Melbourne somehow?

Hi, im new and these are my wishes :-) .. For Colin Sylvia to play every game like his mate has just retired. Would be amazing to see him play like a war machine. .. For Jeremy Howe to win both mark of the year and goal of the year in every game. In which both awards are merged and become the Jeremy Howe award of awesome. .. For Clark, Dawes, Pedo and Fitzpatrick to legitimately terrify all defenders. .. For Melbourne to kill Essendumb and for James Hird to get an even tan on his face (dude needs to stop wearing the sunnies). .. For Jesse Hogan to become the Mountain that Moves + kicks goals (in the VFL) .. For the "Investigation" to end and for Carro and [censored] to both F off. .. For Frawley to find his smile (poor guy didnt look like he was having fun last year) :-( .. For Tapscott to get reported multiple times for being a truck. (but getting off) ;-) .. I think most of all though... I hope to witness a team that sticks up for each other, plays for each other and wants to win like nothing else. Go Dees!
