I'll admit to a man-crush.
I'm not interested in what I heard on the footy show last night from Jack Watts. More important and far more inspiring to me was the couple of minutes we had with our former captain, games/goal record holder and genuinely humble character who is David Neitz.
If I was Jackson or our new Pres, the first call I'd be making is to the great man himself, My sole intention would be to try and tap into that character, passion, humble persona and aggression for the cause (the footage of Neita destroying opponents gave me goosebumps). It's time to get Neita off the sidelines; the impact he could have on the young guys coming through is immeasurable.
I can only hope that the brief footage and interview that Jack Watts witnessed made him ponder exactly what playing for the MFC meant after his earlier petulant dribble .
