  1. Must have been Tyson, Riley or Michie. Vince and Cross aren't back till the 20th lol. Couldn't have been one of our boys.
  2. I really hope the rumours of the Pies picking him at #6 are untrue. Freeman would be the best fit for us now. composure can be taught, speed can't.
  3. Now let's see if pick 9 gets the number 3. Bet he does.
  4. I even reckon our boy Tappy has backed out of a contest at least once in his life. Might have been Under 8's Auskick, but it's still in his life time.
  5. I'm certainly no Pedo fan, but I for one hope he does too. Would prove a lot of people on here very wrong. Clark certainly made use of his upper body whilst being off his feet. He's put on more size. He'll ruck regardless of what anyone says or what his initial role was. That's just Clark. Can't help always noticing Howe and Gawn having a laugh about something Gawny has obviously said. Big Max had Jez in stitches last time I saw the group giving constant crap for once again being the shortest bloke in a photo we took.
  6. Pretty much impossible. That's what I find so frustrating about our midfield. Jamar can win almost every tap in the middle, yet the oppositions mids read it like a book and off they go with the clearance once again.
  7. Agreed. I am the same height as Watts, I'll start a season at 103kg and it'll work back to around 97-98kg during the season (with maintaining gym). The difference between 91kg and 97kg is huge. May not seem a lot in numbers, but in a body on body contest, it's a bucket load.
  8. I can personally relate to this and yes it can be taught. It does take some time to gain the confidence and you can easily switch back to your old ways (staying out of contests knowing your light frame will come off second best). Though once you learn how to use your body (after gaining muscle mass), football becomes a completely different game to a once tall skinny boy. I truly hope Jack makes it happen this year. He's had that stronger frame for a few seasons now, so it's time to start using it.
  9. Unless there is any form of set back to Clark's progression, he will be there Round 1. Simple.
  10. It will be his own rating out of 10 as to where their current fitness levels are at. Clark has been doing laps since he was given the all clear. It'll be quite a while before he will get any form of fitness level back up again. Though last I heard he is coming along well.
  11. Just need to email that to his old man. Bernie did say his folks were impressed with Roos and Viney both contacting them, why not Beelzbub from Demonland as well haha
  12. Well judging from the interview he still seems very cut and not even 100% on where he is at. Big Dawes and Clarky should be able to help change all that.
  13. I feel much better now. Thanks Fifty-5 (and no that was sarcasm either lol)
  14. Port were having contract extension talks back in May in which he chose not to sign. Are they trying again dbj1983?
  15. Yeah which is what I thought to check after I read all the smart aleck replies. Though what he said, is what I believe, even if he was intending it to be sarcastic. I just don't see why others have to always put their 2 cents worth in.
  16. I'm all for getting Ollie to the Dee's. By far my favourite up and coming midfielder, next to our boys of course.
  17. Yeah laugh it up. So funny wasn't it. I agreed with the statement that it was nothing to do with drafting, just poor development. What's so funny about that? For the record, I only read your post because it was quoting mine. I usually skip past anything you post as it's always negative, condescending and absolute crap half the time.
  18. I've been ratting my brain trying to remember, because it was literally like 2 days after the AFL draft combine last year. It was more than likely total bulldust, but I guess we'll soon find out come end of next year.
  19. So it's not because it takes most of them a whole year to get $50 to their name?
  20. Exactly. Nothing to do with drafting. Poor development and mostly due to the players themselves.
  21. Hope the boys put on a better performance at Skoda this year. I'll be cheering on Tyson
  22. QBE Have been Sydney's major sponsor for 27 years now.
  23. Call me gullable, but I did hear a rumour at last years draft that we took Toumpa before Ollie on some form of agreement that after his manditory 2 years at which ever club he ended up at, we were going to throw him a decent sized contract to come to the Dee's (where he preferred to go due to his links with Viney). So then holding back on resigning with Port mid year certainly didn't prove anything, but it did keep that rumour alive. I know I am probably dreaming, but what a move that would be at the end of next year. Ollie to the Dee's for a 3 year deal. I literally watch Port games just for Wines. I was guttered when we didn't pick him and was even more guttered when he ran a muck on us Round 1. He's just another heart and soul player like our Jack. Except he had far better mids around him than poor Viney.
  24. Shouldn't we see how we go this year first. Roos will either do 1 of 2 things. 1. Turn our entire list around by making the majority of our boys perform better than they have previously, which in return should make the team far more competitive and instantly inject the culture and belief in the players for making the change. 2. We have another poor and only slightly improved side, which will indicate the majority our players just can't compete at AFL level and we would then be forced to trade in some big names to replace the duds. I for one hope it's the first scenario. Should mean we won't even need an A grader trade as we are starting to develop some A graders ourselves type thing. In Roos we Trust
  25. Well Collingwood have memberships from $50. No wonder they get so many a year.
