How much football have Demonland members played?
Jimmy72 replied to Nasher's topic in Melbourne Demons
Played 280 games for the Berri demons in the Riverland football league which is in country SA, same club that Rhys Stanley now at the saints and Kaiden Brand at the Hawks are from. Played in a 2002 premiership with Luke Taylor who delisted by Melbourne the year before, Robert Hanley was also in the side who previous played in a hawks night premiership (not sure of the year). Still playing and hopefully can get to 300 -
Your not that stupid, I tipped them as we'll
-
86 tackles that's what I like to see
-
I'm in but they need to play me next week can't do much worse
-
Agree it's tough times and its hard to see any light but I'm sure it's there somewhere
-
Don't just sack Neeld sack the players too obversely they don't give a toss about the jumper
-
So we pretty much agree that Neeld is not up to it, but 4 fuks sake(the players) have some pride in your own performance and the jumper, I've played a lot of footy 270 odd games and still going and not brought into every coachs direction that I've played for but every time I walk onto that field I've done all I can for my teammates and the jumper, it's not fuckin rocket science something is seriously wrong at this footy club. It's got [censored] all to who we brought in and who we lost etc its bigger than that. Why is so and so who ever he is from essendon (there whole side) that much better than who we have!!! that's [censored] like I said there some serious issues at this footy club and I wish I new the answers maybe they should give me a call I could remind them how fuking lucky they are to play a game they love (or do they?) and get paid a [censored] load 4 it

Workrate - run chase harass tackle - attack every contest like its your last - enjoyment - win would be nice
-
Depends on how much you kick the ball sideways and backwards which they did a bit but I agree we need to get our hands on the footy a bit more
-
He did a couple nice things in the first half created a few opportunities but with seller dominating and being the main focal point I don't think he was as looked for as much as last week. Don't think he played much in the second half if at all
-
Jetta played half back and had a run in the ball he was very good. Tappy played across half forward and had a run through the middle as well
-
Defensive pressure was very good. They all seemed to work as a unit and every time they kicked a goal they would all get together to discuss what how why etc which I liked
-
It was a combination of both, we switch the ball or run if through the corridor when we could but we also tried to use the open side on the ground (switching across half back). We also seemed to get numbers back and the try to move the ball long quick and direct and over the back of their defence which we created about 5 or 6 goals from.
-
Davey look sharp made 2 great run down from behind tackles to get holding the ball, all his goals were on the run from a reasonably tight angle. Looked like he may be starting to get back to the davey we all know
-
Fitzy looked a little lost
-
Sorry ill add to that last post our mids were better close in
-
Pencil was ok thought they broke even in the rucks but I thought he used he body well blocking etc around the stoppages just needs to do a lot more around the ground
-
Sorry didn't catch a lot of taggert
-
Seller was the best big man on the ground by a mile
-
Dean was solid I like him
-
I only live 20km away so it was that hard
-
Hey Tim as I said our pressure around the ball/stoppages was good. This created a few lose footys which we were able to take away. We just cracked in harder than they did. Sylvia was very good early around the stoppages as was Magner.
-
Kent look good moves well and is a good size, took a Took a Telly strong grab on the lead under pressure and went back and slotted it from about 45 on a 45 angle. I reckon he'll be pushing hard for a spot, hope he gets another crack next week as he will only get better
-
I was at the game today and thought we pretty much looked the better side all day barring the last 5 minutes or so. They seemed to overuse the footy a bit where we were more direct but our pressure around the footy was a lot better than theirs. We still made some basic errors by foot and hand across half back that they created goals from but all in all there were some promising signs. Any questions, I'll try my best to answer although I admit I've had a couple.
