  1. Yeah she does, and yes it's her real account...
  2. Caroline Wilson has just tweeted these two things 1. Sources close to the age understand several members of the Melbourne Board me last night to discuss Mark Neeld's coaching tenure. And then 2. When asked this morning Eddie McGuire said If he becomes aware the Melbourne Football Club offer Mick Malthouse A contract He will sue. So two interesting rumors there, take as a grain of salt as it is Caro, but maybe there is some action happening?
  3. I am usually such a positive person and am one that will say it'll happen, it'll come! But I am now for one over it and have exactly the same view as dees64! Who is going to be held accountable? Who's going to put up their hand and take responsibility for what has turned into a rabble of a football club. You are spot on, members have cleared the debt, we now have the training facilities, we have a new football department so if the players are sulking, not learning and do not want to play for a club that has a small but passionate supporter base then they should be out! It's interesting how Mitch Clark who has come from another team is one of the few playing for the jumper!? How can all the players who have been there for years then not play for the jumper. I just don't know, I'm at a loss as to what's happened, but I have a feeling it's more to do with the group of players who have had it all to easy and now they can't respond to a hard edged coach. I am over this, so much disappointed I want Neeld to get angry, very angry!
  4. Well it's definitely turning out that way! How can every other clubs young developing players come on so quickly! One of the commentators said something on fox footy that rang so true, look at the culture of Collingwood, Geelong and West Coast and no wonder their players develop and come on, their clubs have the killer edge and the attitude. Look at our clubs culture, we are constantly struggling to stay afloat, controversy after controversy, no success for over 45 years and players that have no ticker!! No wonder we can't attract players and develop a winning culture... so over it, totally pathetic MFC!! Edit: Grammar mistake
  5. Have to say Clark has done his job! 5 goals in this debacle!! Gotta give him some credit!
  6. I have to totally agree with you!! I think Neeld just needs to scratch this season, this list and start from scratch... makes me question was it all Bailey's fault?! I mean even the biggest shake up, emotional weeks and we can't get one glimmer of heart or attack from our players... wtf is wrong with them?!
  7. Yeah that's how I feel, he can talk the talk but he doesn't seem to have great match day tactics... I mean we are almost losing by 100 points and we are still going with the same structures!! And come on Bates should on from the start of the game...
  8. Is this our game plan, free kick in the back pocket and kick it long to a 4 on 1 contest?!!?! This is just getting ridiculous, poor, poor, poor!!
  9. The gut is getting worse... Stef out and Bate sub... Here we go. I so want to be optimistic but it's getting harder and harder to be! Just want to see a bit of fight!! Go Dee's!!
  10. I totally agree with everything you said today, a senior board member or our CEO should've been there, my only thinking that they weren't is because they were off trying to get to the bottom of all this. I fear that we look like we have no back bone and that the AFL can just walk all over us, if I was MN I would not be happy with the way the AFL handled the situation... More needs to be said to put out this ridiculous, now almost out of control fire...
  11. Exactly, why can't we ever just play footy!! It seems as if there is a media hawk constantly circling us to find and pick on any little issue. We have gone from a lot of positive and encouraging press in the preseason, which has lead to a lot of hype and excitement in supporters to surely one of the lowest lows our club has seen in a sustained period of time, I'm talk like over the last month! Sure we had 186, but there was swift action on this, now I feel with Jimmy's passing, this racial issue creeping up, our first game against Brisbane, I just can't be upbeat at the moment, I know it's horrible, it's draining trying to be optimistic all time! But I'll hang in there because I am a passionate Dee's man!
  12. Just listened to Neeld's press conference and here are some of my thoughts. The press conference didn't really add anything new except that Neeld kept saying it's done and dusted as far as he was concerned, also did not name the leak and stated he had no idea who it was. Now my concern with this is that there is going to be this festering media storm trying to guess who the actual leak was, is this going to be an on-going distraction for the rest of the season? Should Cameron Schwab come out and say something? I feel Neeld has been left on his own, where is schwab or Mclardy to back him up? So many unanswered questions still, I think this is very dangerous... Only time will tell!
  13. Just saw this on twitter from Sam Blease. "Sam_Blease Sam Blease So it's definitely on, but no idea where, slowly piecing the puzzle together lol!
  14. I was at training today and agree with the guys above in their match reviews. So organised and intense, also looked as if they were starting to address a number of our issues like the kick ins from full back. Also a lot of focus on everyone contesting the footy and trying to get the footy off other players etc... One thing I did notice was Liam Jurrah running laps with a trainer. Now what really interested me was what appeared to be Jurrah's lack of fitness. He was just jogging laps but every time the trainer went past he was barking instructions such as, lift you're feet, don't drop the intensity but also the trainer was over taking him at times. Also near the end of the session the trainer kept saying to him only 3 more laps Liam then home time, only 2 more laps... and so on. Really had to push him through this by the sound of it. I don't know if I am reading too much into it but he just looked so under done compared to everyone else. Is he/was he injured? I also hope his attitude picks up to the point where he is self motivated to get out of this boring rehab. The only time I saw a glimmer in his eyes was when the footy's came out for the full ground drill, I could tell he wanted to be out there. Anyway just my observations/opinions from today on LJ.
  15. Just saw on twitter that he has been training with Casey for the last few weeks and that his brother plays for Casey, so he would already know some of the boys! From twitter: CaseyScorpions Casey Scorpions Josh Tynan has been training with us for the past few weeks. His older brother Luke has played at the scorps for a few years now.
  16. Getting fired up about Demons in 2012

  17. I just feel that as a society we are all developing this "cotton wool" mentality. As a supporter we have said year after year, "Next season," "next season," "this is our year!" I am so over this! I want it to be our year. I feel that as supporters we have learned to accept the mediocrity of our team and just laying our hopes on the next season. However, for far to long at the MFC the players have been wrapped in cotton wool and rather training to be elite athletes they have focused on trying to make sure no ones feelings get hurt. Now, even myself as a long time Dee's fan, was beginning to think it'll never happen because the players don't have the attitude. But in comes a new coach with a full on new direction and I believe even some supporters don't know how to handle it because we are use to sitting there listening to dribble and going okay, maybe next season. So I don't think we know what to expect, there is now all this unknown potential, but I think some supporters are still resorting to old habits because we don't want to get too excited. But come on, it's time the MFC stepped up to the elite, it's what we need and I have no doubt that we are going to see a change in attitude. Also, Neeld came out and said that he'd spoken one on one to the boys and so whatever he said in the media would have come at no surprise to any of them. I want to see a fit, fiery and elite team run onto the MCG next season, don't you? Edit: Spelling
  18. Spot on, all he is doing is trying to clear out the cobwebs of a club that was taking mediocre results and running with it. I agree with someone on another post who said it's surprising that we managed to do so well last season if we are so under done compared to other clubs. I think he is coming out and saying these things about the players so they know that he means business! Anyway I think it can only toughen them up because we have players who have been physically and mentally weak for too long. They get paid the big bucks to perform and there is always pressure from supporters to perform so why can't they feel that pressure and begin to realise the steps to becoming an elite footballer.
  19. I am falling in love with this man hahaha, his direct ways are going to ruffle some feathers but seriously it's what this club needs!! We have been soft for way to long now. Everytime I read one of his interviews I get shivers down my spine because he says what I have wanted to hear a coach say for years!! I loved the bit in particular about the difference between communications at collingwood and melbourne. The part where he says at Collingwood there is a direct communication but when he came to melbourne it was all about making sure we don't hurt each other feelings etc... what a load of ..... I mean seriously aren't we suppose to play a hard game, we need that edge and I think finally Neeld is going to bring that hardness to us. As far as I'm concerned if a player is not on the same page as Neeld then they need to get out of the club and secondly they are not up for playing elite football. Bring on the next few years, I think we are finally in for the ride of our lives!! GO DEE's!!! Edit: mistake found.
  20. Great story, am loving his vibe. I like as well how they didn't use big resources to fund the trip and played it very smart. I wonder if Clarke knows the story now lol!! Think I might head down to the training on the 31st and have a little gander at what's happening. These stories make me excited about being a Melbourne Supporter again!! GO Dee's
