Spot on. We have had chances but spew it up by foot.
-
Watts is at least showing something
-
If we could hit a target out of the back line we wouldn't be under so much pressure all the time
-
Gee we can't kick at all.
-
Any forward will struggle in this team because of the crud we call a midfield. Fitzy will have to get his touches in the ruck because he will have no chances up forward.

I was in Bali watching the freo game and couldn't believe how bad we have become. I chose to leave the pub and walk in flooding rain as it was a better option then witnessing the rubbish that was served up against freo. I hope a caretaker coach is organized ASAP to try and salvage something from this train wreck. Who knows we could win a game without neeld.

Here are some more images of the new vikings stadium.

Praise The Lord someone has pointed out we drafted watts instead of nik nat. Boy o boy wowee as a Melbourne member I never realized this. I'm telling everyone I know about this as I bet they have no clue either as I know for a fact it has never been raised as an issue before. What a breath taking day to witness such insight. I feel one step closer to heaven as this information can only be compared to when Moses recited his.

Is watts playing for Casey or is his hammy keeping him out for another week?

I do wonder if this thread is a jinx. But if Hogan ends up with his photo on the demonland banner then he is surely jinxed.

Worst umpiring performance of the year
cowboy_from_hell replied to Return to Glory's topic in Melbourne Demons
That was just bad umpiring and those decisions breed the diving techniques used by the eagles. -
It does beg the question why was he playing forward when he isn't one or is he? Dunn is now a tagger. Trengove out for at least 2 weeks with a calf is back already when he obviously isn't fit. Pederson gets a 3 year deal to play at Casey. Rodan one week in and out. Oh well my next relax we've got this will consist of Jesse Hogan another top draft pick or two if the AFL are kind, A new coach who is a tactical genius and ultimate motivator and our opposition suck.

I am assuming the ox is passionate about helping out but probably doesn't know much about the behind the scenes of a footy club. Bring the ox in where his passion is best served. Involve him with the players, mentoring forwards and young players and let the ox learn the ropes of a footy department. Don't throw him to the deep end in a already poorly run department.

Thanks mate. I am as guilty as others around here when it comes to getting sucked in and being over the top positive at the start of the year. I really thought we would smash port in round 1. It hurt like hell to witness that game. Just like Neeld I never saw it coming. I would love to work at the MFC but I doubt they would love to have me. They would get a fair dinkum b!tch slap sponsored by Demonland if I was working there. I'll say to you relax because 'Relax We've Got This' will return again even though this thread has brought zero wins to us.

Beamer looked stupid in a brisbane shirt.

Thanks Hardnut. Through all of this crud still believe we have a list capable anything from 4-8 wins. This list is not a one win team. There could be some small positives come out of the year. I have stuck up for Neeld mainly through hope that the list would be able to grasp what Neeld wants but it just isn't happening. With our current predicament we as fans aren't asking for miracles but If the interim can release the shackles a little bit a few wins and constant effort could leave us with some sort of feeling that signing up and going to games has the chance of putting a smile on our faces.
-
I'm hoping for the inevitable to happen and for Neeld to go ASAP so we can hopefully see some wins this year. As you have pointed out no more wins for the year makes us hell bound. If the players can find something under an interim coach we could beat the doggies,GWS and maybe Brisbane. Throw in a upset over another team and there are some small positives for the end of the year.

Surely Trengove won't play. One week back from a calf isn't enough time. I can't say we desperately need him considering his form is woeful. He must be carrying something apart from a calf so why not play him for a half at Casey then a full game at Casey the next week? Confidence and being healthy are what JT needs. We and he don't need no form and a broken body jogging around every week.

Yeah I agree. Don't follow the leader be the leader. Geelong could of packed it all in after losing finals games a couple of years ago and followed the pies gameplan but they stuck to their guns and it is paying off. We drafted runners under Bailey and once contested footy became king blokes like Bennell,Maric and Morton to name a few had no chance. It is one of a billion reasons why we are one step closer to hell. Now we have a gameplan that relies on contested footy center clearances and contested marks. It's a shame Neeld can't see that we are god awful in clearances and we can't use the boundary because we can't kick. We can run and carry the ball through the middle we have seen that before Neeld came to to us.

Gameplans in footy are quite amusing sometimes. Clarko's Cluster,The press and now the Geelong Highway is the in thing. All other teams follow the leader then draft the players for a required gameplan and then prepare for that gameplan. Then teams figure out a way to outplay the old premiership gameplan. Bailey wanted a run and gun style of play through the guts of the ground. The press came in and blew away this plan. Now with some tinkering teams are shying away from the boundary plan of Malthouse and our Neeld and are looking through the corridor once again. It seems part of Bailey's plan is back and trending well. I'm not trying to pot Neeld and pump up Bailey I just laugh at the merry go round of trending gameplans.

2010. So up and down but the players did play with freedom. We needed to fine tune our defense but we had what I thought was something to work with. We would lose to our 2010 side by 100 plus. Also Brad Green was such a good player and that young bloke in the number 4 seemed to show a bit up forward. What happened to him?
-
Any ex player who understands what is required for a modern day midfield is fine by me. For a bloke like Toumpass to have Simon Black telling you what to do would do wonders for him.
-
I thought Jordie would continue to tag but his pre season would be concentrated on trying to be effective with the footy when he does get it at the odd chance. I never thought Jordie would line up in the midfield not as a tagger.
-
Judd is out of form. Since when did Dunn become a tagger? Not one pre season report on him training as a mid. He trained down back and his kicking skills are better then Nicho and T.Mac. Dunn starts the season down back gets injured and then KAPOW! he is a tagger. Mckenzie has been a tagger and a pretty good one. What comes with the territory of a tagger is a horrible kick and not much else to offer but a good stoppage player who has discipline and can run all day. Mckenzie has all those traits but no he is a outright midfielder now. If this was a plan at the start of the year then Neeld and Co think Mckenzie is a better mid then Magner. No wonder N.Jones struggles sometimes when he has Dunn and Mckenzie in the midfield with him.

As long as AP is in it I don't care. But it does kinda look like something the transformers would live in.
