  1. David Neitz had 999 scoring shots.

Really? Is that just his goals and behinds tally? What about out on the full or did not score? I'm sure he would have had more.

    Good quiz last night HT.

And Dan Han was a good get, was hoping people had forgot about him.

  2. Question 6

    Two Part question:

    a) Who wear the numbers 29 for Melbourne and 22 for Collingwood ?

b ) What do these players actually have in common ?

    Juice and Steele.

    Murray U/18s

  3. Geez you're quick ! Correct !

A: Aaron Davey & Troy Davis - Both born on the 10th of June. Davey in '83, Davis in '92.

Still had the same page open from before, so just had to glance down the page.

  4. Question 4

Which two Melbourne listed players share the same birth date, yet are 9 years apart in age ?

(Welcome to use all tools to search for answer...I know you guys were anyway)

    Davey

    Davis

  5. Not just that, it's a good idea to tempt people with the prospect of a quiz to knock this thing out.

Unfortunately not all were keen / available.

Was thinking it might be time to drop the 24 hour time limit, but its tough when some people only have a small window. Unlike us.

  6. I'll stick with doggo on this one

If I was a fwd and a ruckman rested on me, I know what I'd be doing, run, run, run

And don't tell me he could play a loose man just floating, he's a ruckman FFS

What did Dean Cox used to do when resting back? And many others, its actually quite common. It isnt hard for a ruckman to fill the hole in the backline. Stand 30 metres out, and get back to defend the long ball, and just clog space when the ball is 80m out. Quite simple, really.

  7. Dead right doggo

You can "rest" in the fwd line if you anchor yourself to the goal aquare and provide muscle and a contest

Can't anchor yourself anywhere on the backline, gotta move, move, move

It is still a rest though when compared to being a ruckman. You tell them to float around the back 50 and chop off incoming ball, instead of having to cover the whole ground.

  8. If jamar is resting in the square...whos he replaced and whered he go ? etc. Not so so straight forward as when we had 4 on bench

Its not really complex either. Not much different resting a ruckman forward really than when there was 4 on the bench. If there was 4 on the bench, and Jamar replaced someone up forward, who did he replace and where did he go? Same thing, just with 21 men instead of 22.

  9. The curiosity for mine is that the new rules one would have thought, precluded a team from utilisng two rucks in the old manner and yet we now seem to be forming a team with that. Either its an obvious fault in logic ( not beyond me...really !! ) or were looking to some very intersting setups and resting manouvres.

As already pointed out above it gives the flexibility of Jamar resting as the stay at home forward we want, and Robbie resting most likely across half back due to his defensive experience.

    Not that interesting.
