  1. Pick 149 - Josh Gibson (Hawthorn)

    B: Tarrant, Gibson

    HB: Winderlich, Taylor, Enright

    C: Black, Pearce

    HF: Higgins, N.Riewoldt, Porplyzia

    F: J.Riewoldt, Jurrah

    R: Warnock, Barlow, Rischitelli

  2. Exactly my point.

And to those of you saying he doesn't preach the bible, watch here:

No, I don't think that is your point. Your point was because religion played a part it is relevant. I said the complete opposite.

  3. I have Trengoves pick...

    pick 144 - Grant Birchall - Hawthorn * Wildcard

    B Maxwell Glass

    HB Grimes Moore Montagna

    C Birchall McVeigh Cassisi

    HF Harvey Brown Varcoe

    F Tippett

    R Sandilands Boyd Sewell

  4. Guess I'm alone on this. It just seems like a backward step to me, to be teaching the players about the bible when they could be training. It could be offensive to any non-Christian players or members. Better to have a regular non-religious counsellor in my opinion.

I assume you're non religious...so are you offended by it?

And also...should the religious players or members be offended by the welfare officers who work at the club?

I'm also atheist, but I can't see what relevance religion has on the topic of player welfare.

  5. Bruce paid back the club in full plus interest with his efforts over his long career of 224 games. Their treatment of McDonald was an absolute disgrace. Please don't try and tell me we couldn't have retained Cam if WE WANTED TO. It will be interesting to see what will happen when Green, Davey, Rivers and co. reach the MFC 'retirement' age of 30. Will they then revise their youth policy when we haven't achieved our dream of a premiership or even come close?

Retirement age of 30? How old was Jnr? Check those facts, or do you only like ones which make Bruce out to be a princess?

By the way, Junior would have every right to be [censored] off at Bruce. It would be most likely he would be playing in 2011 if your boyfriend was upfront and honest.

  6. Round 14:

    B: Waters Lake

    HB: Lewis Goddard

    C: Salopek M.Murphy Davey

    HF: Brennan

    F: L.Thomas Fevola Green

    R: Jolly Bartel Hannebery

    * Pacy small forward to feed at the heels of Fev and Greeny ...

I thought you were going to use your wildcard on Brock!

  7. Pick 132 - Shaun Higgins (Bulldogs)

    B: Tarrant

    HB: Winderlich, Taylor, Enright

    C: Black, Pearce

    HF: Higgins, N.Riewoldt, Porplyzia

    F: J.Riewoldt, Jurrah

    R: Warnock, Barlow, Rischitelli

  9. I'm hanging about.

    Can't be too much longer...

PM me your picks if you want. I will only be here til 8:30 though, then I will check at about 10:30 again. Eth make a decision!

If you wanna do that I will PM you who I am taking at the pick before so you can decide on your 2.

  10. Obviously unacceptable in Cam's eyes and Bailey and Co refused to even budge on it. If they had wanted him to stay they could have without any bother. They just didn't want him any more. That's my take. We are all entitled to our opinions are we not? Until I hear anything to the contrary from Bruce himself I'll stay with my personal view on the matter.

Unacceptable to Cam, and realistic to nearly everybody else.

Not to be rude, but how the hell do you know we did not budge on the contract? If you can say that, I can say Cam refused to budge. Negotiation is a 2 way street.

  11. Nope. He wasn't pushed, he was GENTLY shown the door. Bailey and co. offered him an unacceptable contract knowing that Cam would conveniently refuse. They couldn't ask him to 'retire' as well as Junior in the same year could they? Read between the lines. Cam worked so hard over his years at Melbourne and his best mate is Brad Green our most likely captain next year. Not the usual scenario for a guy to walk.

An unacceptable contract, or a realistic contract?
