GWS V Bombers.......the stadium is empty!

I may be cynical but i think Clark's depression was cured when he realised he had to play footy to make a living!

So long as Hogan can get through the game without injury. I'll be happy.
-
They''ll go broke selling food at those prices. Must be a tax dodge.
-
The suns even without Ablett look really good.
Got a feeling they are the real deal.
-
Surely he's still under warranty!

Hogan is the next Buddy Franklin.

Impossible to say at this stage if the draft was good. Time will tell.
This year will be make or break for Watts, lets hope he proves the doubters wrong.
The main thing I hope to see this year is an injury free Hogan.

I'm sure Roos has looked at all of the available trade picks and maybe he has decided to run with our current draft picks. This may just be the best draft for some time, so why trade them away. How did we go from scoring 5 midfielders in one trade period, to zero in the next? Have no idea what went wrong but after trumpeting about how pathetic our disposal was for the second half of the year in every presser, I'm staggered we've done nothing significant to fix it. Does Roos just expect this list to magically improve their skills and disposal over another off season? Didn't he say that our players were "scarred" and said that tanking had irreparably damaged some players who are might be incapable of moving on from the past?
I find it so hard to believe that Roos couldn't find a single disenchanted midfielder at GWS playing out his AFL career in the NEAFL, that wouldn't jump at the chance to come home and play for us. And if that is the case... that paints a frightening picture of just how low the opinion is of our club in AFL circles.

I see Richmond need Trengove to bolster their mid field. What and we don't??
-
Technically its not sewerage its sewage.Sewerage refers to the infrastructure that conveys sewageBollocks
We need players with a far better mindset than Frawley.
"I will wait to see the improvement & direction of the club..."
And how much did Chip contribute to that improvement??
Chip may well play well in a top side, but he was never going to lead the team back up the ladder.
We can do better.
Anyway we have no choice. He plays for the sewerage farmers now.

Isn't free agency a wonderful thing. Strip the good players from the struggling clubs and strengthen the top teams. It's a complete joke!

Go HUNT.

I hope they both lose.

It's going to be some time before I see the likes of Sydney bottoming out. This is starting to look like the EPL where only 6 teams can win the flag.
-
Parker and Hannebery would't that lift our mid field?Would love to have Luke Parker.

Maybe we should trade our first round draft pick for two second round picks. The thing that I find strange is that it feels as though Melbourne have drafted better with their late picks. Therefore, I would have thought that a lack of funding would impact on these picks more as they are more speculative and require more research.
It would be interesting to compare prominent phantom drafts with real draft results and assess which have been more successful.

Adam Treloar GWS.

We could trade Jack Watts (pick 1) for Robbie Grey (pick 55). Sounds fair to me.
-
Is the draft effective? David King made the point during the week,..eg. St Kilda. Gets pick 1, Swans pick 18, St Kilda pick 19, Swans pick 36, St Kilda pick 37............St Kilda effectively get one pick more than the Swans. It's going to take some time for bottom teams to climb the ladder.

Surely the AFL can't be pleased with the current situation. With GWS losing money with a very low supporter base and having to be propped up by the AFL. Meanwhile Melbourne support is gradually eroding. If the current situation is allowed to continue supporters will cease to attend games. And I'm one of them.

When are we going to realise that Dawes is a passenger?
