  1. Time to wield the axe

    Trade or Delist

    Fitzpatrick

    Terlich

    Grimes

    Toumpas

    Mc Kenzie

    Jamar ( to retire)

    Spencer

    M Jones

If Trengove falters he is looking vulnerable.

    Thatl do for a start!

We need to keep Fitzy and Spencer, particularly with Jamar likely finishing up.

Mature tall depth is invaluable over 23 rounds (and hopefully a couple more weeks)

vandenBerg always seems to get his arms free in the tackle and gives off cleanly and his 'cut' inside Saad and kick to Garlett for Jeffy's first goal was a thing of beauty.

I also loved when he decked the living shlt out of Rischitelli in the centre square.

  3. Said in the other thread Salem hasn't shown much except kick a match winner against essendon. Other then that he has not shown why he was worthy of pick 9 especially the likes of Luke Dunstan Lewis Taylor were picked later and made huge contribution for their side.

He looks so out of depth we have gifted him games when the likes of Jimmy Toumpas were dropped after 1 or 2 games. Yes he missed first half of Pre Season but taylor missed the whole chunk with a broken foot.

Toumpas copped it last year. He showed alot more then Salem has done for his first year.

Salem doesn't lose one on ones. He usually even neutralises two on ones. When he's over his thyroid problems and isn't such a fatty, he will be fine. He's a footy player and he can kick it.

  4. What about the little fella Caleb Daniel (#1 from SA). Every time i see him on a highlight reel, i like him more and more.

A lot of people say he's too small and that's the reason why he'll be a late or rookie pick at best. I think that type of thinking is complete bs. Prestia seems to be doing pretty well for a little bloke too. For anyone that will say Prestia's physicality allows him to do well, i'm gonna counter with Daniel's pace allowing to become an effective AFL player.

Plus, and the biggest plus, the kids got heart. Give me that over Jack Watts' attitude any day of the week.

The difference in height between Caleb Daniel and Dion Prestia is the same as the difference in height between Prestia and Brent Moloney. It's huge.

  5. I find Tyson knows how to get on his left and doesn't get hampered by it much.

Viney, on the other hand, needs to get some confidence in his right foot, he's much worse than Tyson at using it or getting on to his left.

Tyson's right-footed inside 50 in the last quarter was a real momentum killer. Was being chased down but should have produced a better kick

  7. Have heard Caddy to the Blues for pick 11 and Ellard seems a lot to give up, hope Melbourne don't try and outbid it

I would have thought that GC would only be accepting picks due to their list reduction

  8. And we all know how important a B&F finish is. Just ask Tom Scully.

If we can do better then name them. I agree that we need to make sure the price is right, but in the end there isn't much the Suns can do. Caddy is out of contract and they will need to take something.

I would rather take a punt in the draft than settle for the second best/safe(ish) option in Caddy.

I think a lot of clubs would be happy to part with players equal to Caddy in ability for pick 13, but that's just my opinion.

  9. There are just as many players over the years who have been flops as well as guns within the Top 10, so it's not better to assume at all. If the price is right, and only if it's right, we should take him. Your belief that taking a punt on a player this year is flawed.

Using pick 13 on someone who finished 19th in the BNF after playing every game is equally, if not more, flawed.

Mitch Clark cost pick 12. We can do better.
