  1. An 11 goal last quarter to the Casey Demons and a great win. It’s not hard to win against lowly teams but this was sublime.

NSW Demons are going to watch the game today. Our first opportunity to support Matthew Jefferson, our sponsored player and the rest of the Dees and Casey boys this year.

Wear your colors and see you there - it will be great to see the red and the blue out to support the team.

Look forward to your on the spot reporting. 😃

  3. Bailey Laurie will definitely be going to Alice Springs now that he’s replaced Jack Viney in the Melbourne team while it’s also possible that the club is taking the new emergency JvR there as well so expect some changes.

Sadly, nobody is funding a ticket for me and therefore I will be watching the stream on the AFL site. I’ll be on this thread intermittently to provide scores.

  5. There are a number of 2025 AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft nominees from the Casey Demons (VFL) list including -

Riley Baldi, Riley Bonner, Lachlan Bryce, Jesse Craven, Paddy Cross, Olly Green, Mitchell Hardie, Mitchell Kirkwood-Scott, Caleb Lewis, Kobe Shipp, Kai Windsor and Noah Yze.

The most likely to be selected according to reports is tall forward Caleb Lewis who has attracted attention from one or two clubs.

It's been a while since I travelled to Sydney and I'm not heading there on Saturday but the Casey Demons will be doing just that. The game is on Saturday afternoon at the quaintly named Tramway Oval which is opposite the SCG. I can't remember any tramway in the vicinity from the last time I was there and nor do I know why the game could not have been played yesterday at Casey given that the MFC played the Swans in Melbourne. That way, Melbourne in fans could have enjoyed one local game next week. Don't try to understand how the VFL fixture works.

Looks like we're about to lose one straight from our own backyard.

Good luck to him if he gets picked. His chances at Casey have been rather limited because of Melbourne's declining injury list and the number of tall forwards getting a run in the VFL team.

  8. That was a big 71 point victory for Casey that could revive their season -

  9. At 3QT Casey Demons 13.17.95 were destroying the beleaguered Bullants 1.5.11 and my iPhone was down to almost zero battery in sympathy with the home side. Luckily, I have a spare battery and could recharge.

Goals at 3QT Jefferson 3 Fullarton Laurie 2 Billings Campbell Henderson Sruk van Rooyen Woewodin

Disposals at 3QT Billings Bonner Hardie 23 Baldi 21 Laurie 20 Sestan 18 Sruk 17

Since the break, the Bullants have been on a roll with the wind while Casey have been slacking off somewhat.
