  1. In one post you say Green is soft, the next you say Robbo tries his heart out. You really need to watch the game a bit closer. Green is not soft, and as for Robbo, if he was trying his heart out he would chase, he doesn't.
  2. The AGS footy season is only about 10 weeks I think, plus possible rep games. He could play for Sandy, miss the 10 weeks for school footy, then back at Sandy again.
  3. My understanding is that the game will start earlier than a normal Friday night game, allowing Channel 7 to show the game in full before the opening ceremony. Personally, the opening ceremony doesn't interest me at all. Who wants to watch some people dancing around like pansies (read people like Nikki Webster), and watch countless athletes slowly walk into the stadium, boring!!! I don't see why people would not go to the footy. It is the actual 150th anniversary of the first game of footy after all.
  4. Jones is infront of McLean at the minute.
  5. I've never seen him play back, only ever forward or in the ruck. I would think he would be a future forward, but you never know.
  6. Who's being a moron? Sampi is way out of condition, CC said so on SEN last week. I will go with his assessment over yours.
  7. Why in the world would we do that?
  8. It is Stefan too, not Stefin.
  9. Young forward\ruckman from Sandringham. 199cm I think. Played a lot for the Sandy seniors towards the end the season. Strong mark, and very mobile, has a basketball background. His kicking lets him down a bit, but that definitely improved as the season went on.
  10. Who said that this would happen if a 17th licence was granted? There is no way 12 of 16 clubs would vote for it if this was going to happen.
  11. That is 9 defenders, or at least 9 behind the ball. Are we going to be playing run and carry?
  12. It does, but is the fact we don't have a superstar because of CAC's recruiting or because of the clubs lack of ability to develop players properly under ND. I'm going with the latter.
  13. As an away game. There is no way we should have to play another home game interstate, one is enough. The Kangaroos signed a deal to play there. The AFL need to stick with that deal rather then tear it up because they didn't get their way.
  14. So how exactly does Eddie expect to sell away games? They aren't his to sell.
  15. This isn't a 'mine's bigger then yours debate', but I have put in a lot of time at the MFC, something other posters around here could tell you. So you expect them to get approx. 27,000 renewals exactly right and out on time? Getting that many renewals out on time is a huge undertaking. I doubt any AFL club, or any company would get that number of renewals all right on time. However, my point was that your swipe at and cynical remarks about the Advisory Panel were unnecessary. What has the Advisory Panel done to you?
  16. Typical cynical and negative response from you Tony. When was the last time you posted something positive about the club? Your continued negativity and cynicism towards the club has become boring and is unnecessary. Try supporting the club, rather then bagging it at even the smallest of opportunities.
  17. Do you ever say anything positive about the MFC Tony? Every one of your posts is negative towards the club in some way.
  18. Are you a psychologist Jaded? I don't think we can assume that. Not everyone who takes drugs does so because they are messed up in the head. Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom to realise what you are doing, maybe this plus the impending AFL hearing is rock bottom for Ben.
  19. Why would you be invited? It sounds like a sponsor\potential sponsor media event to me.
  20. Umm, no. He said 70% overall, not just on KPP. CAC would have at least a 70% success rate with 1st rounders. Don't alter the stats to suit your agenda.
  21. Also the distribution of AFL dividends would be divided 17 ways and the gap between strong and weaker clubs will widen. MFC is financially break even at the current level of funding & so would be in loss without increased AFL support. You are right, but a new tv rights deal would also come in at the same time, which would probably be worth more $ then the current one. Therfore more money to go around as well. Cant see the AFL keeping up the safety net if have to fund Southport! Not an issue, the MFC won't be receiving the extra assistance from next year. MFC is underpinned by "contributions" from MCC. No we aren't. The MCC only contribute about $1 million a year I believe. A small percentage of total revenue. Although maybe any debate on the MFC's financial position should be left until we see the financial report for '07.
  22. So should we expect to see him in a women's magazine shortly out with Lindsay Lohan?
