It would be worth it just to see that umpire run backwards to the opposite end of the ground. I don't have a problem with having all 9 umpires able to pay free kicks but would prefer it to be trialled during the practice matches rather than a once off in a NAB cup match. Not only would it give them a much better idea if it would work due the number of games they can use it in, there would be no major downside if an umpire stuffed up. The NAB cup should mean a little more this season due the $1 million prize up for grabs for winning it.

Speaking of player sightings, I had a couple on the same day. Saw Wheatley and CJ entering Crown Casino as I was leaving on Grand Final eve at around 4am and was lucky enough to corner Simon Buckley late on Grand Final eve at a mates party. Had a good chat about his year, what he expected etc. Came across as shy to begin with, but opened up a little towards the end. Seems like a good kid and I hope to see plenty of him in the red and blue.

My point regarding him not being in the senior team since round 19 would mean that it's been that long since a number of supporters would have seen him rather than the 4 weeks you stated in your first post. I am well aware of the fact that he would have been training with the senior list up until the end of the season.

Considering his last game of the season was against Sydney in round 19, it's been more like 9 weeks since we've seen him. With an increase in gym time, which I would assume would be a directive from the club and a little less on the endurance side of things, I wouldn't be surprised if he's put on a few Kg's of muscle since he last played.
