Garland - the beauty of this guy is that he can play tall and small... He played on the wiz one week and then played on Buddy 2 weeks later...He's a special talent this kid.

Bell is a worry... showed a lot last season but has really gone backwards this year.

He does try and he defends well but he seems very slow when he has the ball in hands and his awareness is a major concern.

The aritcle soes not explain how we are securing a training venue.

All I understand is that Olympic park will be turned into a football ground for Collingwood...so how does that benefit Melbourne?

Even the great man Rivers today turned it over....During the 3rd quarter, he had the ball on the halfback flank, took 3 bounces and under no pressure kicked out on the full!!!

You have to remember the Bruce missed a month of footy prior to the 1st game...he was underdone..and finaly is nearing full fitness...the guy played very well today..He easily would get a game in any team in the comp.

It's also interesting that it was mentioned this week that Bruce had taken Cale Morton under his guidance for a while now and there's alot of Bruce in the way Morton plays i reckon even his kicking style is like Bruce.

It would be even better to have you back if the big girl Jeff White would only help you out instead of squibbing it...

Robbie Flower mentioned the other day that he always went into a game believing the Dees could win.

This is saying something considering he played during the darkest days of the MFC when they struggled to win a few games each season for many many seasons.

Cut the guy some slack.

It his first senior game this year and he had problems adjusting to the tempo.

He will be much better for the run as will Bartram.

If Rivers play this week he also will look out of sorts for a while..its just a huge jump from the speed of VFL to AFL.

Does 'Rebuild' mean the same as 'Development year'?

Dean Bailey did declare openingly to everyone 4 weeks ago that 2008 was going to be a development year for the Dees.

I'm surprised about people thinking Morton is not ready to play this year due to his apparent lack of body size.

This kid has the footy smarts and skill that we desperately lack and I’m not concerned about his lack of muscle as some...just look at Dale Thomas at Collingwood as a prime example what a young kid without any muscle can achieve with a bit of nous and class.

Of course he body will not stand up to 22 rounds yet...but expect him to play at least 12 games.

Rodney Eade lost his first game coaching the swans in 1996 by 86 points and they looked like a rabble..... but they went on to make the grand final that year....

so anything is possible.
