  1. If Dean can get the team playing like we achieved against Hawthorn in the 2nd Quarter consistently this season, then he will survive. But it must occur weekly.

It is a big ask, but then AFL Football is a hard & ruthless game.

Let's break it up into 4 week blocks and see how the team go...beating the Crows this sunday i believe is achievable with hard work, the week after at the Docklands will be Dean's greatest test so far.

That’s impossible for a very inexperienced group of players...they will up and down throughout the season...even Collingwood less than 2 years ago were suffering multiple 50 points or greater losses in the same season.

  2. Yes we actually do have money now. If the club spent up big on coaches right now i would fully support it. Otherwise we may as well shut the door.

We are now also part of the MCC again...This club must be proactive on the field.

Jim Stynes was pushing for a Salary Cap on all Football Departments just a month ago..Why?...because he knows we will never match the money Collingwood, Essendon, West Coast and a few other are spending on the FD and player Development.

  3. Since Viney's return the teams perfomance has wilted...He spends match days in the coaches box giving and taking suggestions for moves......while Bailey is on the ground instructing the players.

So maybe Viney is the problem?

  4. West Coast did tank last year. no doubt they were better than last spot. . Getting Glass back, Kerr back and fit Cox back is a BIG factor in their confidence and improvement...They are hard, classy and experienced players and its what WE lack.

And Essendon, I'm pretty sure their wins last year included quite a few teams in the top 8 (Carlton, Hawthorn, St Kilda, Western Bulldogs) ...their losses were mainly against bottom teams. So people should not be surprised on how they are going.

  5. I think Stef Martin is the prime example on how long it takes to fully transition from being a basketballer to Footballer.

He and Jack have a lot in common.

Similar backgrounds - both in Basketball. Both big guys and late starters to football

Martin has had the potential for many years and now finally we are seeing great signs from him.

Martin now has a muscular strong fit body and its doing wonders to the way he plays. Showing so much confidence in his marking and great composure as well. He gains confidence and feeds of the knowledge that he has a strong body. It’s that simple.

Jack Watts is in the same boat and he will get there.

  6. Some Postives so far

    Amazing improvemnet in Stef Martin

    Tapscott - just a brute

Gysberts - a inspired draft selection - could be the pick of the bunch

Players getting game time and experince

No injuries - Injury free list is the best in many years

Only lost 1 game out of three

    Scully to return

    Jordie Mac to return

Our Midefield will be feared and the envy of all in the years to come

Slowly building momentum - Team has yet to find true form - All the signs are pointing that we will come home with a wet sail

  7. If you are getting that from the Hun website, I think that is how they plug it into their set-up, I don't think we would name emergencies on a Thursday for a Sunday game.

You are correct..... The MFC website has 7 players named on the bench..

  8. The red V was way to congested with threee types of Logos... and they were too low on the V...What's the point of having the new V shape and new red when you can't see much of it...

Move them up a bit and move the new emblem to somewhere else on the jumper....
