Crazy that Spargo can go to GWS. Dead set gun.

the best result from this draft is that we pick up BOG (brother of gus)
Don't agree. Far too slow and no tricks. Won't make it.

Good to see ANB and Bugg doing everything possible to improve and get into the 22
ANB might surprise a few
Last year, Bugg was second only to McDonald. ANB is one of the better distance runners.

Insert mock outrage!

If Salem is relieved of backline duties he could be the important linkman (outside class) we crave. Other than Stretch there's no-one else capable.

Can't wait for Robbo to interview him in his typically ebullient way!
So Max, remember that day down at Kardinia Park (2005) where I booted seven goals on you including a bag in the last quarter, to lead the Dees to a famous come-from -behind victory?
Egan had a shot on the siren too from memory.

For me the crucial ones are Stretch, Brayshaw, Petracca, Harmes, Kent, Salem, Oliver, Hunt and oMac. These guys believe and anything could happen.
Ten games for the Weid.
Would love another speedster in the draft that can put the wind up Stretch and Hunt.
We win the flag in 2018!

JKH and Spencer will want to do something.

His name does not start with a J, am suspicuous, good country footy area didn't Tingay and Rigoni hail from those parts?
From memory Tingay was from Shepparton and Riggers from Myrtleford.
Gisborne aint that far from Melbourne!

We also have Salem as a near new recruit, after being out for a good proportion of 2016, I'm looking forward to seeing him with a full preseason and some improvement in his health.
He could be the surprise packet for 2017.
Thyroid problems are not easy to overcome. Unfortunately we shouldn't expect too much.

No love lost here. Was a guy that always played well just before a contract renewal.
To all those that said he should have played forward. You can't play forward if you can't catch the ball. One of the worst mark for his size I've ever seen. Made Dawes look like Stewie Loewe.
Hated his faux tough guy act as well. Normally consisted of jumper punching a teenager and running away when the big boys came.

Nothing wrong with Junior McDonald. Many things turned to shyte when he was forced out.

Will be a three-year contract. Hopefully the last will be performance based.
Averaged 26.4 disposals and four and a half tackles last season. He'll be a welcome addition.

Too young to give up on. There's something there but needs to be given a regular game.

Shame it won't happen. The encouraging thing is he told Pickering to call us. That is an enormous vote of confidence for the group.

This is my concern.

... would like to see him trialled as a half forward if he is retained on the list for the full contract term
I wonder how he would go being the hunted rather than the hunter. Maybe not enough tricks in the bag?

Remember Todd Viney a few years back going on about four pillars they were looking for in recruits:
... the recruiters rank the players on competitiveness, physical attributes, football attributes and character.
Not sure if Motlop fits all of these.

Koby Stevens is looking for a new home. We would be stupid not to have a look.
Tall midfielders are always welcome and maybe a replacement for Bernie when the time comes, but maybe look to the draft if we're going to spend a third rounder?

Hyphenated surname is very Melbourne. Like to check his schooling before saying yes.

We need a strong marking forward that can pinch hit in the ruck.
Dunn should be given a preseason to become this player. He has the attributes, and does not pose the same liabilities that he currently does to the gameplan. He may actually offer more than what is currently on the market - he can out-Dawes Dawes, I'd reckon, and his leadership and experience could be valuable to the young heads in the forward line.
One year extension, with the opportunity to be the hit up big kicker that could be really useful to our game plan.
Think Dunn is a worse mark than Dawes. One pre-season ain't gonna fix that!

Especially like Morrish. Rangy 6 foot 2 Beacy boy. Beautiful kick with a massive leap!
