About Me

Later in life, my Mum told me that when I was 3, my favourite person in the world was Ron Barassi. Dad was a Don, Mum was a Saint, and so there was no reason for me to feel that way. I apparently just loved him - and I should point out that this was way before colour TV, so I had no knowledge of "the red and the blue".

3 years later, still in Mt. Eliza, Victoria when I was 6, wearing my Melbourne jumper that Mum had stitched the number 31 on the back, I listened on my transistor radio, to the 1964 grand final where Ron took the Demons to their 6th premiership in 10 years. Those were the glory days.

I then had to wait 57 years for the next one, but that I did.

I reckon we can squeeze a few more in before I shuffle off.
