I'm pleasantly surprised that all of the criticism for this shambles is falling on Freo and Bell.
The fact remains MFC have publicly shopped an A grade contracted player only for him to be rejected by his long time suitor - in and of it's own this would have been the worst potential outcome when first considering this move.
Yep. That's what happened. FMD

Whatever happens, I just hope this doesn't drag on until last minute Wednesday.
Freo can afford to wait once the Neale trade is done. We cant, if we want May and dont have a plan B for getting him without Freos pick.
GC may also refuse to trade May if it gets too late in the period as it leaves them no time to use what we give them. They've already said something along those lines.

Very happy about Preuss, but probably in minority when I say I didn't want Tyson to go.
He certainly had his limitations, but I think a lot of his good work went unnoticed and unappreciated.
Anyway, he's gone now and good luck to him.
I wonder who joeboys 'same three words regardless of actual performance' player will be now.... Â

A poster on Bigfooty has said that a 9 Perth reporter, has tweeted that JH's Manager met with another club today, about JH.
Do we have another interested party?
Interesting.
Wasn't JH's "open to leaving" declaration with the disclaimer that it had to be Freo?
Incidentally, what was his aversion to going to WC? Recall someone saying a while back that he wouldn't go there?

I’m sure the royal use to have a smear of jam in them, last pack I bought didn’t though.  Do you crack the chocolate that covers the marshmallow on your forehead before you eat them as well?Â
They did, and they also used to be bigger.
Everything is getting so goddamn small these days.Â
Remember in the 'old days' where you could actually get your hand inside a Pringles tube? Now only a little kid could do it, and I have to shake the [censored] out! ?

So two different takes on the same story...
Final offer from Freo which we have rejected - Trade Radio, TV news
First official offer from Freo, which we have rejected, but we are still talking - PerthNOW
Which is it?
The latter would make more sense, given as some have already noted, that is all they actually have to offer as we speak.

MELBOURNE have reportedly rejected Fremantle’s offer of pick No.11 and a future second-round selection for spearhead Jesse Hogan.
The deal is understood to be the Dockers’ first official offer to the Demons, who appear set on receiving a pick in the draft’s top 10 for the 23-year-old key forward.
Hogan toured the Dockers’ Cockburn facilities last week but has yet to publicly declare he wants to shift home to WA with a year still to run on his Demons contract.
However the two clubs are openly discussing a deal for him. The news of the Demons rejecting the offer was reported by multiple outlets on Thursday afternoon.A report on The Herald Sun raised a move to West Coast next year as a possibility for Hogan should the Dockers fail to get a deal done before next Wednesday’s trade deadline.
Fremantle traded away their No.6 draft pick to Port Adelaide on Thursday morning, leaving pick No.11 as their first selection but arming them with two second-round picks to use in negotiations.
The club could possibly get back into the top-10 at this year’s draft if they agree to shift Lachie Neale to Brisbane in return for pick No.5.

Melbourne may be making freo sweat to ensure we get pick 5 & 6
Isnt that basically what was said from the start? We are happy to keep him unless something is put in front of us that we absolutely couldnt refuse?
Narrative has morphed since into this going down like a regular trade, fears of getting low balled.. etc
Mother of all offers thanks Freo, or GTFO

887 kbps!
Thanks for response. As a result, something in me rigged and I've switched off the WiFi and watching on mobile via 4g.
What a lousy NBN service.Â
I'm happy now though- will be able to watch once the entertainment filler finishes
Glad you got it sorted. Careful of that mobile data usage though, if you have limited allowance  ?Â

I trying to watch via the stream- veey frustrating. Breaking up very frequently- get a sentence or sentence and a half, then lose it for thirty seconds.
Can anyone answer this? - I assume it's an internet speed problem (have experienced same issue on two different devices).Â
Speed problem I think. I am running at about 2.5 mbps and no issue
What does it say for you if you click here?

Oscar no, Frost yes.
I dont and never have rated Oscar, i dont see what he adds to the side besides being tall. May brings experience and a hardened body down back. Today he would have taken Kennedy and i would backed him in to get the job done.
Frost at least has elite speed and dash that we desperately need put of our backline. May and Lever qould cover him for his disposal and skill.
I recall many here saying exactly the same thing re TMac. Then he got a few more seasons development under his belt and look what he has become.
Omac is still only 22 and will barely be 23 at the first bounce of ball next season.
Just need a time, imo.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
in Melbourne Demons
If we get pick 5 I'd hope we'd look at doing what someone else suggested earlier.
5 + ?? to Adelaide, who want to get ahead of PA in draft orderÂ
8 & 14(?) to us
Give 8 + ?? to GC for May/KK
Take 14 to draft
