Average trade IMO.
10+22 would've been decent as we would've landed whichever one of the smalls forwards slid. The small forwards we want are likely to be gone by 28. If they're gone by 28 then we've cocked it up. If not, then it's ok.
Why involve Adelaide at all? Why not go direct with Freo and do 10+22?
Future 4th in a compromised draft is legit useless and won't even be used.
Same weakness we showed when we traded our second rounder down in the Langdon trade.
Because 22 was previously ours and if I'm of the correct understanding we can't receive back a pick that's already been traded out

I like it, Jones is either midfield depth or defensive forward IMO. He can't play other roles e.g. wing or defence.
According to Goodwin he has come back in best shape this year. I'd prefer Jones to ANB.
In response to a question re the role for Jones next season, Goodwin said they want to play him high forward
Apologies if already mentioned, but something else I liked hearing from Burgess is that he doesnt want players running laps at training. He wants them ball in hand, getting into the drills, skill work.. etc

Well said. I have never been more mortified about such an attack which I'm not repeating.
Huge kudos to Goodwin on the classy manner he dealt with the question.
Yep, massive cringe at that one. The guy seemed pretty proud of himself afterwards.
Someone asked re Jones and his role moving forward considering he played a bit on the wing and we've brought in two wingers in Langdon & Tomlinson. Goodwin said theyll be looking to play Jones high forward next season. Also wanted Fritsch off the wing and up forward too.
Few questions re forward line, and (to me at least) they seem pretty ok with what we have.
Petty, TMac & Weid as the talls, Fritsch, Melksham, Hannan and co as the support.
Also said Petracca will spend more time in middle, but we've heard that before so I guess wait and see.

And the questions from the attendees:
1. Who are we picking in the draft? Why aren't we picking so-and-so?
2. How many Brownlow votes is Petracca going to get next season?
3. I've been on the MCC waiting list for ages, when will it come through do you think?
4. I went to apply for a medallion club membership and the sheila on the other end of the phone was rude and hung up on me. What bay will my seats be in?
5. When do finals tickets go on sale this year?
6. Gil talks a big game about improving things but I found some mistakes in the footy record a few times this year. How long do we have to put up with this?
Audience in attendance so far is heavily skewed in favour of the... well, 'older' demographic.
I wonder if the bloke from the AGM is here who asked...
7. Why are the beer prices at the bar so expensive?

Even the most conservative naysayer could find little to complain about in this arrangement.
We get to try before we buy.
Just for those such as myself who aren't completely across all the various recruitment methods/rules, does this development mean that subject to him getting through everything successfully, he is 100% ours now?
Or is there still a chance the likes of Geelong could still pinch him?

SpellingI think a player we've really missed this season is Pederson. Didn't set the world on fire and not really a master of any position, but he helped plug gaps when needed and gave us some flexibility.
Tomlinson from what I've seen is similar. Can help in the ruck, can play down back, kicked 12.4 last season so apparently not a complete fish out of water up forward either.
194cm, 96kg, just turned 26. I don't really see the downside.

What's the oldest and/or most irrelevant article you can find that explains our current situation. Get creative, I will accept anything from footy to climate change to astrology. All you need to do is explain why it [censored] us up so badly. If we're going to complain, might as well make a game of it.
The Splitting of Pick 8
in Melbourne Demons
Surely a bit less of a lottery than having 97 as our third selection?
